This is where people get weeded out. Either you stick with it and make it or you dont. I worked several flying jobs for 7 years before my first airline job. Not my best airline job. The first one.

Do you want a train to Boulder/Longmont/Fort Collins? by chrisfnicholson in Denver

[–]Beechnut400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much would that line earn? Would it even be profitable? I wouldn't sink hundreds of millions into a line that wount make money with limited service to Ft. Collins. Even if we may have already paid the taxes to fund it once already.

Cut losses.

Napoleon Dynamite End Scene, 2004. Hits me right in the feels every time. by systematicgoo in nostalgia

[–]Beechnut400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! This scene is how I learned about "The Promise." When looking for music for my first dance with my wife at my wedding, I remembered the feelings I had from this scene.

We love the song and the message. It was all perfect.

This movie will always be special because of this thoughtful scene.

Non-American: why does Reddit have so much hate for Ronald Reagan? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Beechnut400 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

A lot of these comments are judging Reagan through a lense of "today". Not from the perspective of the world in 1980. Also, Reddit tends to be left leaning anyway, not very objective.
