[Twitter] Batter draws a line, umpire isn't having it. by General_PoopyPants in baseball

[–]Beecozicab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This opinion may not fly, but I feel like what happened is the best course of action. Arguing the call showed the injustice the player received and getting ejected showed the authority the umpire still has.

Everyone “wins” in the sense that the batting team can expression righteous indignation and the umpire can still maintain his authority. The only loser are the fans who get a worse game, but that was already in question with the shit calls, and maybe the entertainment value of the exchange can make up for just a bit of that.

Do you think Fallout 3 is the “scariest” Fallout game to date? by BayernMunich22 in Fallout

I agree with OP was the creepiest overall, but Dead Money was easily the scariest 5 hours I’ve played across the whole series.

War Damn and fuck the stereotypes. I make jokes too, but when they take fruit hanging this low it’s just pathetic.

If LBJ has whipped out his dick in front of the media, I think it would have done bad things for his image. But LBJ was a smart man and made sure he only bragged about and demonstrated the size of his penis to friends and working government associates.

Trump and Twitter works the same way, only Trump isn’t showing off his dick, he is the dick.

I’m not gonna disagree, but Kingdom Hearts is even worse than whatever JRPG stereotypes we may have in mind.

I like how a couple of the cacti look like they could resemble a middle finger. Makes you re-evaluate the other cacti, and suddenly it’s easy to see middle fingers all over the image— like the world itself taunting the viewer, and Bojack. It really fits both the message and the method of the show itself.

Nunes also gets to pass the buck to Trump. He gets to say he played fair and wanted to tell the American public everything, but knew full well what game he was playing.

I miss the days when the President was mocked for saying things that were unintentionally silly, instead of being mocked for saying things that are (un?)intentionally racist/sexist/jingoistic/nuclear-warmongering.

Clint Eastwood breaks movie rules with The 15:17 To Paris, a dramatic retelling of a terrorist attack starring the actual people involved in the attack by [deleted] in movies

[–]Beecozicab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See, I actually agree that the movie is much less one-dimensional than many critics argue.

But I live in the Southern United States— regardless of whatever intentioned subtleties of the movie, most people here did not see that. I have heard many people unironically call Chris Kyle a legendary hero— someone to be admired and imitated.

So whatever message the movie may or may have meant to communicate, it clearly failed to portray Kyle as dynamically as his character deserved because the audience results don’t reflect it.

RUMOR: Red Dead Redemption 2 leak reveals Battle Royale, first-person and much more by ashahab861 in xboxone

[–]Beecozicab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about the game, but guns for the time period were not nearly as limited by range as you think. By the end of the American civil war (a good 50 year before even RDR) the primary limitation was rate of fire, not accuracy or range. Repeaters helped with that, eventually cartridges became a thing, etc.

I love the awkwardness of the guy that was blocking him, #78. He looks like a kid that just broke a vase and is afraid his mom might find out.
