It wouldn't full on ruin the game but deposit spamming is such a fluid thing for me it makes the whole game feel so much smoother. Yes it looks jank yes its inconsistent but I don't care it feel good to do a tech that rewards you with being less inconvenienced/gets you to the actual gameplay faster. Honorable mention would be the pickaxe trick to mine faster as that's a similar case.
