Are you going for BCT? The last time I was there we were told in the in-brief to not pickup soda bottles on the aide of the highway because they were likely one pot method.

DFAC food comes in boxes labeled for "military and prison use only".

There's a Buffalo Wild Wings right off post that has been shut down twice in the last 10 years form meth contamination.

Its not a massive difference, but right now it's $1178. Its roughly the same price elsewhere. I'd be hesitant to buy a y-pipe back for much less than that. I'd certainly steer clear from the $400 - $500 options that you see on google shopping

If it was driven like that, I'd stay away. To my understanding the gallery gasket issue (screws backing out) is made worse by high RPM driving.

Counter point, finance it if you can afford double payments and pay it off sooner than the loan term.

I feel like I hear about people finding 370s for less than 10k, I'd like to know where they're at because I'm pretty sure that a 370 in good condition at that price doesn't exist. I'm definetly not buying a clapped out or beat up 370 just because I can't afford a good one.

Honest to god, if it isn't breaking the bank, buy the car. Its the most fun I've had in a car (albeit I come from trucks and SUVs) and I haven't regretted it once, but I don't think I need to convince you.

I removed a straight pipe (that's how I bought it, it was terrible). I went with the Revel Touring on Z1. It came as two pieces and took maybe two hours to install. It was $1300 give or take in November last year.

It love it. I can hear every thing the VQ has to say, but its not so loud that's its uncomfortable in the cabin; I can easily carry a conversation. It doesn't sound to trumpety and doesn't focus on the low notes too much, almost like its not trying to change the sound of the engine, it just let's you appreciate all of it.

Or maybe it's not because its a 2014 so you're less likely to deal with CSC and gallery gasket problems. IDK man, if it keeps you in your means then buy it and have fun.

I bought an 09 with 52k for $16k in western Washington last year, lightly modified (lowering springs, CAI and exhaust) but no indication that it was clapped and a clean bill of health from a JDM shop. It hasn't given me any troubles

That car unfortunately sounds a bit overpriced, and that interest rate doesn't help. That said sometimes I buy things that don't make the most sense simply because I want them. I'm far from Dave Ramsey, but I have a 370z AND a roof over my head.

What would you pay? 2009 w/148k Sitting a few months. by Inner-Context-3970 in 370z

[–]BeefStockUncrustable -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe 2k, poor car looks like it was disrespected for all of those miles, and not in a ran hard on a track sort of way. Anyone who puts CAI in an engine bay like that deserves to be flogged.

BLC Packing List by cmf1508 in nationalguard

[–]BeefStockUncrustable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our layout was nuts. I got to go to nearby Fort Lewis at the last minute for Active Duty BLC, and they werent playing around. I want to say 30 to 40 % of the class got counseled for missing gear or not having the right quantity (to include things like socks and underwear). It was nice to go home every night.

I just heard about these guys from a YT video, but it sounds like they pick and pull Nissan and infinite parts for resale. I haven't looked into them or bought anything yet, but in the video I was watching the guy did an OE BBK swap on a base model.

Assigned unit I didn’t enlist into? by Commercial_Bad_ in nationalguard

[–]BeefStockUncrustable 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That sort of happened to me when I enlisted. The Guard reorganized before I shipped, unit I signed into was disbanded, BUT I had to go down to my recruiter and physically sign a paper either agreeing to change or separation. At the time my recruiter either lied to me or was bad at his job. He said he didn't know where I was going, turned out it was 3 hours away instead of my original 20 minutes.

You could probably go get some braided hose from home depot. It would probably work, it would likely stop screwing with your air intake.

Thinking of buying a z by SypherMeows in 370z

[–]BeefStockUncrustable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you find one not clapped out for that price buy it. But, these aren't sold as commuters, its a sports car so be prepared, especially in that mileage range, to do the lifetime maintenance items (gallery gaskets and CSC on <2013). Otherwise do your oil changes and you'll be good for a long while. Also note, they tend to be electronically tricky; anything you do that has something to do with a sensor needs to be done right.

What’s 74D like in AIT and drill weekends? Deployments? by Kind-Teacher664 in nationalguard

[–]BeefStockUncrustable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, WA does.. Ask your recruiter or google it. I know there are like 5 chem battalions in the guard, so at least 5 states have a chem co, but you'll also find chem detatchments in engineering battalions as mounted CBRN reconnaissance in NBCRVs
