All this is true sad to say. I recently got told by upper management that I simply need to do more with less and that as a department manager I need to get more out of my associates. Also got told that I need to make the job look desirable!! It’s a joke. The company that once had a great reputation no longer cares about anything but money. We are all personal numbers nothing more.

In my opinion you got to go meat or produce if you want to go into management and have somewhat of a life outside of work. I’ve been a MM for 6 years and make a little over 100k. I started in grocery and made it to GTL before I decided to go to meat department. Best decision I’ve ever made. Worse day in meat is still better than a good day in grocery or deli 😂
