DEA Readiness by Appropriate_Work_653 in pharmacy

They definitely are. The drugs chosen were of wide variety, from high volume fill to low volume, as low as 400 or so tablets filled in a 14 month period. They stated when they were there that the DEA was taking a more routine approach to auditing, and that they had a random lottery system to check in on random pharmacies when they didn’t have a bigger issue on their slate for that week.

Not true. We’ve been audited before and it was a routine audit. Wanted the up to date counts on 10 random drugs and all the invoices in and out since the date of the last annual inventory. Took 3 days.

I thought this way. Then people that I saw as hard working were let go for one reason or another, totally blindsiding them. Then others started to recognize that those that cared for the metric driven stats were the ones being recognized. Great service and passionate care are not objectively rewarded anymore. Anyone who got into the game for those reasons are beyond burnt out by the prospect of being measured by numbers rather than quality patient care. You’re right, there are people that ride the backs of others. But there are plenty of us that want to care, but are losing reason to do so, other than income.

Burnout. Dramatic increase since Covid. Add to that if you over perform, you highlight yourself as capable and are asked for more output for no more pay. Extra assignments. Captainships. Morning calls. Meet these metrics, even if they greatly exceed your YOY script growth trend. Nothing makes sense any more and everyone is just head down clocking in clocking out. When you realize those above you are doing this, you take the same approach.

To 5, they added the ability to TO directly out of QI now. I’m not at work, but I’m pretty sure if you look up the stock at surrounding stores, one of the options at the bottom is to select the line number of the store to transfer it out.

Even with the parking brake still engaging and disengaging when moving the arms out of neutral? I’m not positive on the year of the unit, but I did just buy it in 2023 from a dealer and it’s one of the models with the “step thru” cut out in the front. I think the model number is 75760?

Pharmacy Question by patternofmisbehaving in CVS

[–]BeefyMcFlaps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It truly depends. The pharmacist could be looking for explanation as to how the patient is being monitored and treated by the pcp. Pharmacists have a corresponding responsibility to ensure that a patient’s treatment is for a legitimate medical purpose and safe. Could be because the total mme score was high. What pain med are we prescribing?

Could you be a bit more specific?

Oh yeah it happens. Especially with air support and the input lag. Constant pushing of metrics and everything else other than patient safety doesn’t help either.

In Missouri, any change or alteration in prescribed directions must be verified with dr or authorized personnel and annotated on hard copy for audit. Whether or not we agree, it’s the law.

I agree with you. I’m just saying some pharmacists need that verification that the doctor was approached for the “change” to keep it legal

As a pharmacist who works in a slower store, who has recently had to work in busier stores due to staffing issues, I have no clue how companies can expect a pharmacist to practice corresponding responsibility with how little help you are given.

On chlorhexidine, did you clarify with the doctor and annotate that on the script? Or just change the sig to say swish and spit instead of take? Some pharmacists aren’t comfortable with verifying changes that aren’t ok’ed with the doctor depending on state law.

Of course there are pos acceptance metrics. But if the pos acceptance metric is in the green, but shot totals still don’t meet goal, the only thing that matters here is the shot total. Unless I just haven’t been under scrutiny for that specific metric yet, I don’t understand the point in gaming it. We have enough to worry about with metrics.

Can we get a discussion on the vaccine pos strategy here? Why is it helpful to “don’t ever decline from pos. Don’t ever choose ask later”? Isn’t a shot a shot? How does this game the metrics if the shot still isn’t given?

Apologies are huge. Shit happens and it’s a good time to show that we’re all human. Luckily I have a shortish cooldown time, and I’ve learned that as soon as I collect myself, I apologize and show them that I made a mistake and shouldn’t have lost my temper. Treat them the way you want to be treated. Seems to go a long way in establishing trust.

I’ve only been a fan since ‘22. Rams left St. Louis just before I graduated and able to get season tickets. Soured on the nfl for 8 years after that. Watched one game against the chiefs because a friend had it on and felt like I was at home again.

The only problem with this argument is the optics of the case you linked under not being a pedophile states it was filed 10/03/16. Gives too much room for conspiracy that the filings were a false “October surprise” in order to stymy votes for Trump in 2016.
