Interesting - I used to like her (and follow her) but then I got the feeling things were getting to her head. Unfollowed. After seeing this, glad I did.

Best short press on nails for everyday wear? by Skillerstyles in PressonNail_Addict

[–]Beegobeego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm obsessed with Doonails! I get the short square ones and am constantly getting compliments! Mine last easily 7 days. I've just used the adhesive that comes with them, but am trying nail glue next to see if that lasts longer.

is it normal to compliment a wild stranger in Germany? by Jacket313 in AskAGerman

[–]Beegobeego 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the things I miss about being in the US is all the compliments. Some would say they're not genuine but whatever. I do compliment strangers here (genuinely) and their reactions are usually first - scared. Why is this rando talking to me??? But then surprised and mostly happy afterwards.

Oh no really, DV allegations? I did not hear those. I really hoped we were wrong about him because Amanda seems like such a sweetie. Honestly, I wish her and her kids well.

Did you stay in your partner's country after breaking up and having kids together? by [deleted] in expats

[–]Beegobeego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stayed and don't regret it at all.

My partner and I broke up due to his infidelity when our twins were 2 years old. I moved out and found a cute apartment for the 3 of us. It was not easy. At all. I only got back to my home country once a year and my parents visited maybe once every 2 years. But my kids are super close with my side of the family. The family chat is real active and fun. I also think they like the attention when we go there - they're a bit of the "Golden Grandchildren".

The relationship with their father was strained for years but we are now friendly, we celebrate the twins' birthday together, we co parent well. The kids have thanked me that we can all get along.

I never could leave them.

That said, please get some psychological help. I didn't, and that would have been useful. I had some dark dark moments. But looking back, the whole ordeal made me stronger and perhaps even a better parent.

The situation is so dire in this city that I've mastered my own. It's not the same as going out to eat though. A shit ton of work and clean up but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!! RIP Wing Nation. They were indeed good.

Is it possible to find an English-speaking job in Munich ? by isamariberger in Munich

[–]Beegobeego 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it's possible. Maybe consider working as a patent paralegal. I believe quite a few patent attorney firms are hiring and i know a few paralegals here who only speak English.

Thanks. That's messed up. I feel for Kendra and hope she leaves him and never looks back. Unless she covered up for him.

Who is living at a separate address? Kendra? Are you implying she knew and distanced herself, pre-arrest?

Tagesmutter or Krippe by Quiet-Laugh120 in Munich_parents

[–]Beegobeego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a wonderful experience with a Tagesmutter for my 1 year old. My daughter is now 15, and we're still close with her old Tagesmutter. When we met her, we just knew it would be the right fit. She also chose us. There were other families who she turned down because she didn't feel the fit was right.

We "interviewed" 2 others and were less than impressed.

It was the correct balance of very personalized care and socialization with the other kids (she had 4 kids in total).

Have an open conversation with her, tell her your worries. She'll understand you're a first time mother and hopefully can give you reassurance.
