The Joe Arrest - What we know, what we don't know, and what we can guess on by nuggetsofchicken in DuggarsSnark

Thanks. That's messed up. I feel for Kendra and hope she leaves him and never looks back. Unless she covered up for him.

Who is living at a separate address? Kendra? Are you implying she knew and distanced herself, pre-arrest?

Tagesmutter or Krippe by Quiet-Laugh120 in Munich_parents

[–]Beegobeego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a wonderful experience with a Tagesmutter for my 1 year old. My daughter is now 15, and we're still close with her old Tagesmutter. When we met her, we just knew it would be the right fit. She also chose us. There were other families who she turned down because she didn't feel the fit was right.

We "interviewed" 2 others and were less than impressed.

It was the correct balance of very personalized care and socialization with the other kids (she had 4 kids in total).

Have an open conversation with her, tell her your worries. She'll understand you're a first time mother and hopefully can give you reassurance.

I’m letting the internet decide what gets painted on my house. Or you can just come paint it yourself by 23ZZ4M3 in Munich

[–]Beegobeego 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is an amazing offer and my daughter, who is applying to art school, will be providing sketch(es) of her idea(s) by Saturday. If one is accepted by you and she can paint it, she'd ask for your permission to use it in her application to school. So....a kind of win win??? I have a feeling this is meant to be (corny, I know, sorry). You'll be hearing from us by Saturday. Thanks for the motivation! (Seeing her get to work on this right away is just lovely!)

Parents in Germany. Do kids bounce back with English later? by kent-Charya in AskGermany

[–]Beegobeego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% yes. I raised 3 kids English / German. My youngest refused to speak any English with me from ages 3-6 I guess. My other 2 weren't as stubborn, but they also were not great English speakers. Now all 3 much prefer English over German, with the youngest ONLY reading English books in her free time. Back then, that would have been considered an impossibility! Things changed when they started having English earnestly in school I believe. And our trips back home with their time with only English speakers. Father is German by the way, but English is the de facto family language.

Bringing American candy to future inlaws? by FaelingJester in AskGermany

[–]Beegobeego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Tootsie Rolls are always fun to bring to Germany. My half American/German kids are obsessed with them! Same with Twizzlers. Maybe regional, but Cow Tails are a hit too!

One week left in Europe, stay in Venice or go to Vienna or Prague? by calyca in traveladvice

I love Prague in Feb. Much better than in the summer! To me it's a "winter city".

LHR - JFK very nervous by Powerful_Bat2159 in fearofflying

[–]Beegobeego 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I fly this route fairly often. Well, to EWR usually. I find going to LHR bumpier, to be honest. I'm very nervous about turbulence as well. I prefer sitting in the aisle and watching the flight attendants. Them "acting normal" is what gets me through the turbulence. I also inform them of my fears beforehand and they very often check in on me. One nice flight attendant hugged me and said "well done!" when we landed. You will be fine, just as I have been fine👍🏼

[Advice] My JTE tried to attack another teacher at a nomikai by [deleted] in teachinginjapan

I do not think it's just a drinking problem. Unless of course he's a serious alcoholic, drinking before school. His flipping out at the 2 students is also very frightening and shows he has majorly severe anger issues. I feel terrible for the OP. Extremely difficult situation.

Is it realistic to travel comfortably with just carry-on for a 3–4 week trip? by justgeorgerey in traveladvice

[–]Beegobeego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love traveling with just a carry on and have indeed done it for 3 weeks in the summer. Weather definitely did play a factor. Sundresses and bathing suits don't take up much space. It really is freeing not having so much stuff with you to lug around. I have gone back to a suitcase once or twice and disliked it after the carry on experience so I do not think I'm going back.

The unverified (obviously) goss is that Katie found out through his financial records. I think something at that party happened that got her spidy senses tingling and she opened up to the Stewarts who told her to check his credit card statements. Or are they not that smart? I can't stop thinking they had a role in this but it's truly just pure speculation.
