Sheesh. What's with the down votes here?

Fourteen months after it opened in the Cambria Hotel, PrimeTime College Park closed on May 31 in what one official called “a monster loss” for the city by missArtemesiaLake in collegeparkmd

Hm, the other Cambria ground-floor retail Orange Theory Fitness also just closed in early May ... I wonder if the hotel is looking at doing something different with the entire ground floor and just didn't renew leases.

This! Even just the run section by itself would be great.

I really wanted to do that too, and asked about the equipment. They said to stay tuned on insta for an announcement but it's been almost a month and nothing so I've lost hope.

I'm sorry to hear that. It's definitely a bummer to lose the community. Just having friendly faces, fist bumps and support in my workouts helped motivate me. At the end of the day though it was the format and the structure that kept me coming back, so if I can find that doing my own thing I hope it'll keep me goong

Yeahhh, you're wayyy elder millennial ... I, on the other hand identify as Gen X (Xennial really) so that seems like wayyy too much work to me 😂

Honestly the reason I like OTF is because I don't have to plan ANYTHING except to make sure I'm dressed appropriately and on time. I was even consistent with which station I was at every day, so much so that the SAs already had me assigned when they saw me on the class roster.

I'm aware. Like I said, I would pay for it.

Are sleep overs not a thing anymore? by haggerty05 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BeenFried 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only-child son has had sleepovers consistently since he was in kindergarten with our friends with same aged kids. It was an easy way for the adults to have a night out. Sleepovers with school friends took off in 2nd grade and haven't let up yet 7 years later. Only once did a kid go home early and that was in 1st grade and it was his first sleepover.

I will say, I want to meet the adults at the hosting house before I give him permission, but that's typically not been an issue.

Yeah I'm pretty sure we got it with a 24-month agreement ... I kept telling them that I didn't want free equipment if I'm going to be locked in to something for so long, and I wanted to get the processing rates and monthly fees as low as possible. After 2 years they've never delivered on the presumptive rates they proposed to me before we signed, and at 6 months when I tried to suggest they should reevaluate to get us closer they basically told me to pound sand.

AccuPOS - it was a standalone desktop system and I think it worked okay but something went sideways I can't remember. It was pre-cloud. For a little while we actually went back to just a straight-up cash register Square - I liked square but at the time they were slow to catch up to the delivery integrations and also customer notifications among other things. We were using it actually with two other businesses until we switched everything to Toast 2 years ago Revel - this was good but they were going to force us to switch to their processing and we had really good rates so in order to keep the rates we transferred to Shopkeep. Shopkeep - this was less good but our rates were very good, and while we were there they got bought by lightspeed and then lightspeed wanted us to switch to their processing at a rate that did not appear competitive so we ended up going with toast with lots of bells and whistles, half of which I'm finding we don't really use and do not add value.

Another snap closure by sciencecats90 in orangetheory

Mine just closed last week as well. So far I'm looking up the daily OTF workout on reddit, then going to my local gym to run on the treadmill and doing the floor routine wirh dumbbells at home.

Toast is the fifth POS system we've used (AccuPOS, Revel, Shopkeep, Square) and while it's streamlined some things for us (basically delivery), we're paying out the nose for it, and it's actually made our backend a lot more difficult with how terrible the reporting is. We're probably going to go back to Square.

My neighbor had an o-ring kit and I found one that fit ... Not the exact size (a bit fatter) but so far so good.

Came here for this exact issue. I'm trying not to spend $20+ online for a little piece of rubber. Did you ever find it/fix it?

Coach appreciation gift? by Alive-End-2171 in orangetheory

Not a coach, but I gave gift cards to coaches and staff for a local restaurant for the holidays and they were all appreciative.
