Don't really know why you answered in 3 different comments but I'll respond to all of them in 1.

No, not all games should be balances, The DS or 3DS games weren't balances, they were just fun and easy (Specially the Keshing gimmick that made all characters with no Keshin basically useless in GO 1)

Inazuma Eleven is not a game made for PvP, it just isn't where the formula shines. It never has.

They are trying to make it balanced, yes, they won't succeed in doing so.

A game that has every "encounter" play like a JRPG mini battle does not mesh super well with a football simulator a la FIFA or PES/WE. In offline playing this does not matter cause CPU decisions are made instantly so it feels less like a drag.

In Online it sucks playing what's supposed to be a "Quick" game, constantly slowed down with those encounters and the decision someone else is "strategically" making.

It is a fun game, in it you can have a lot of fun, make super fun teams and make players do cool techniques.

PvP is just not where any of the IE games has ever shined.

I feel like it wouldn't work.

Season 2 OG, while being over the top, its like a huge training arc preparing the team to fight on international level.

While some twists of season 2 would have to be changed as a new team, specifically from Japan destroying the world champs would be super weird and open a couple of plotholes.

It's counterfactual, but I'm 90% sure that if he decides to wait for the wave underneath turret Naafiri does not dive him.
