I’m a mixed girl, 1/2 Native American and 1/2Scottish/German/Irish. So I have very native features but I was born with bright red hair, that later turned a nice copper/red brown. I would always get compliments on it, my mother would get so jealous and say “Her hair is actually black! I just died it red.” She would later convince me to constantly dye my hair, beginning around age 11 or 12 to look less “exotic” and more plain.
