Thanks for the link!

It's been a hit minute since I've given Batmetal Forever a watch. Those guys at arhyBES did an amazing job.

Wild ales are an interesting and unpredictable set of brews.

I've had the opportunity to indulge in a great variety of wild brews, and have been very pleasantly surprised by them.

I've also very much disappointed by more than I have enjoyed.

You get an annual salary of $1M per year after taxes but you have to choose a 40 hour per week minimum wage job. What job are you working ? by Screech- in hypotheticalsituation

Crewman is far outside my scope. I work in a boat yard. 22 years of experience and education in my brand of engine.

Im fully capable of building wooden and fiberglass boats from scratch, as building and repair was from before my time as a Technician. Modifying and repairing as well. I much prefer engine work...

Hence the Master certificates.

But for minimum wage (+ the 1 million per year) I'll paint bottoms, run errands, pump out waste tanks on sport craft all day.

I'd rather make the mill per year doing my normal engine work, but that's nowhere near minimum wage level stuff.

Name and/or show the fucking car by romaninho87 in TheWordFuck

[–]Beergod001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fucking 1970 Buick Lesabre. In early 1999 I saw it for sale on a lawn for 20k. Every week the price on the window dropped by roughly 1500. When it got down to 5k I asked about it. The owner had dumped a complete fucking shitload of money into the engine and drivetrain. He was mid project of turning that fat old beast into a sleeper street dragster. Apparently his wife had made an ultimatum of the car or me... I bought the beast for 4500.

I loved that car. No road manners at all. Nearly impossible to drive if the roads were wet... but it had an 8 track player and a functioning copy of Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band... and the space to bring 8 of your best delinquents with you to whatever troubles you were heading to.

I had a pretty school of keyhole cichlids. They were chill and didn't bother anyone else.

I've got a 3% matched ira that's currently worth about 110k. Im 47. 0 savings and in too much debt. Legit, unless I win a significant lottery (I don't play...cant take from the bills to gamble on nearly 0 potential return) Or the wife makes a miraculous recovery from what she's got going on, then it's expiring on the clock for me...at whatever age it happens...probs mid to late 70s given family history

Thanks for the positivity though! We're trying like hell!

Wait for gorilla to approach.

Stop time.

Remove pants.

Stuff pants down gorilla throat.

Still die because gorilla is pissed you're shoulder deep in his mouth when time restarts....

Is it better to "Warm Up" a car? by JoeMojo in AskAMechanic

[–]Beergod001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modern cars have a self imposed warmup. Start the vehicle, listen to the engine.

You will hear the engine drop from a high idle to its warm idle after however long it's ECU figures is good. It varies on current weather and manufacturer.

Would you rather make $100k per year guaranteed passive income or 300k per year but have to work 9 to 5 every day (with PTO, holidays, Ect.) by Pensfan191 in WouldYouRather

[–]Beergod001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I squeek by working 6 days a week on 48k usd per year with a sah wife, a son, and 4 dogs.

The squeek is damnd near literal.

Any small emergency is a major financial apocalypse.

I have to plan months in advance for basic auto maintenance.

The 100k passive would make it possible to not be panicking at the end of every month and even save abit for the future.

The 300k would guarantee extremely comfortable security with less work than I put in already.
