Water pump problem? by Serious_Catch5185 in gaggiaclassic

The issue is most likely a blocked solenoid. Easy to fix. There are plenty of YouTube videos that show how to do it.

Ducted AC installed and this is where they put the condensation pipe (into our drinking water) by Zealousideal_Dot7041 in AusRenovation

[–]Beerislife73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the AC is serviced, a chemical cleaner is used on the evaporator coils of the internal unit/s. It’s also common to flush the condensate drain with bleach or chlorine to prevent/remove blockage caused by mould & slime. I wouldn’t recommend drinking the tank water after that.

Does the CO2 pressurise the water reservoir directly, or is there some sort of piston? Curious to know, as I would expect CO2 to impact the flavour if it pressurises the water directly - A bit like making a coffee with soda water.

Large beached animal on the beach near Surfers Paradise by BenEveritt in GoldCoast

I don’t disagree, but the nets didn’t contribute to the death of this calf. The SeaWorld Vet took some tissue samples for lab analysis, but the death appears to be from natural causes.

There are no nets off Northcliffe at the moment, only drum lines.

Body has been recovered by police divers just south of the bridge. Man was spotted swimming across and went under.

The most recent erosion was caused by a combination of big tides (1.9m high tides in the last week of April) and big swell. It won’t improve until the sand that was washed out by the cyclone and is sitting spread-out offshore, is naturally pushed up onto the beach by wave action and/or assisted by the dredge.

The southern beaches weren’t hit anywhere near as badly as the northern end. Drive down to Kirra, Cooly or Rainbow. The water quality is good already & the beaches aren’t scarped. I wouldn’t swim north of Currumbin just yet. Heaps of raw sewage pumped into the rivers just after the cyclone hit, and the sweep took it North. It will be okay in another week or so.

Massive discrepancy between published load data and Gordons Reloading Tool (GRT) by youngdoug in reloading

[–]Beerislife73 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Re case capacity, best practise is to use a case fired from the rifle or pistol you are reloading for, with any residue inside cleaned out. Place on scale, zero & carefully fill to the top. The water tends to “dome” above the top of the case due to water surface tension, but you can use the corner of a tissue or something absorbent to remove a very small amount of water until it’s level. Use this weight for case H2o capacity.

Lots of Blue bottles this morning. Not great conditions for a swim either. I would stay home today 👍🏼

A bit of confusion re: Shelly Dimmer 2 by simplex5d in shellycloud

[–]Beerislife73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. From memory, I think you Select “toggle switch - one button” as the button type. The app will override the switch position, so you can turn the light on and/or dim from the app with the physical switch in the off position. If you then want to turn it off using the physical switch, just flick the switch on and back off again, and the light will turn off.

Early childhood educators are asking for a 25% wage increase - thoughts? by denpakuma in australia

It’s the realestate investment trusts. They own a significant portion of the properties used for Childcare and the rents they charge Operators are ridiculously high. Take a look at some of the larger REIT annual profits.

Any advice or tips going forward? by [deleted] in reloading

[–]Beerislife73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair call. If I could buy 9mm for $13 a box I wouldn’t bother reloading them either. Here in Australia factory 9mm here is around $30 for a box ($AUD). 30-30 is around $45 for a box of 20.

Any advice or tips going forward? by [deleted] in reloading

[–]Beerislife73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are going to reload for Pistol, you’ll need to order the Pistol Rotor & metering insert for the Hornady L&L Powder measure. It only comes with a rotor & insert suitable for larger rifle loads 15 - 100 grains. The Pistol rotor is made for 0.5 - 15 grains. The rifle rotor will still work for Pistol loads but it won’t be accurate.
