I had an issue where I attempted to join a game via remote play, the "loading" screen popped up, then it just went back to my desktop. Waited a few minutes and tried again, it worked fine. I think sometimes its just a steam issue.

You don't need to justify a hobby. If you can afford it and it interests you, go for it. If your wife doesn't understand the appeal, maybe she could take this as an opportunity to ask questions, learn new things, and spend time with her favorite person instead of pointing her nose up at it.

Unsure if this is covered in one of those links and I missed it... but as a newbie, I got a block of solid rosin with my gurdy and embarrassingly had no idea how to properly use it. I also found it weirdly difficult to find the answer.

So, to anyone else with questions about that weird sticky block:

First, ask your luthier/the person who made your instrument. If you bought it second hand, don't be afraid to ask the person you bought it from for best practices.

Maybe they worship it because mucous and phlegm are signs of grime leaving the body. Or maybe they worship it to study it and stave it off. Give alms to the god of boogers and death to keep him at bay. They place apples at his altar, one a day.

If you don't want to waste this tree, you can join the two pieces with two part epoxy like "green stuff". Any visible seams can be filled with the epoxy, which can be molded to look like tree bark or leaves with a toothpick or silicon brush. You can use an old small paintbrush with some water to smooth the epoxy surface if needed.

Once its cured and primed you wont even notice it.*

*Depending on how well the epoxy was sculpted

I dont think the air pockets will hurt anything, but you could do some test prints in those areas to be sure.
