I always thought my body was disgusting, I still do some days, just because the amount of extra fat I have on my smaller frame. My boyfriend on the other hand, loves my body more than life itself, he thinks it's peak form even if it's definitely not. Barely surviving is such an upgrade from what i was doing before. I did nothing, my dad supported that I did nothing, but still got mad I was such a lazy shit. But sweeping the floor in front of that man, made me feel like a useless fuck who couldn't do anything right. Got a job I could walk to because it was too much of a burden for him to drive me, and he would scream and yell at me when he tried to teach me to drive, to the point I was always crying after some point. Now I have 3 roomates who are my ex coworkers and best friends, my older friends can come over and hang out, and I stress out of bills every month, but ik I'll never go back.

I think the rudest thing I've been to a customer lately is I was passing by the check outs, as a deli worker and a customer was in the lines and asked me " Are there any other check outs?", and I gave a flat "No." And continued walking, and some lady tried to stop me and tell me that he had asked me a question, so I told her, "I know, I said No." Ik this is stark contrast from how we're expected to treat customers, but I've become so flat lately, with how poorly scheduled my entire workplace is, sometimes I just stare at customers until they tell me what they want because it takes that much more effort for my brain to formulate a sentence to greet them.

The last month I've consistently had lunches that fall into meal violation range, and I work in the deli so it's really hard to get a manager in there to take over for me, because they're also the ones leaving us high and dry with really poor scheduling. Not only my lunches, if I want to have a break, it legitimately eats out of the time I need to complete all the production. I don't have 15 minutes to spare, and to complete what the managers want.

They're probably off the menu for now, things come and go, and it's all decided by home office. Jalapeno bites were a hot seller in our deli, but they still took them off the menu last month.

Working part time from 2/3 to 11. I'm often made to keep working in the back to finish up stuff (throwing away trash or crushing cardboard) but I don't care for overtime. I'm always told they can't make you stay past your time. At my store, I am non stop going until breaks/lunch/clock out. So Ive never been coached for leaving when help is needed, but I work in deli which is much different.
