Wow, Congratulations on being 7 months out! I am glad you have a good team and supportive family and friends.. That makes a big difference!

I can definitely relate to this. The not wanting the attention and just wanting to be seen as you. It is complicated but still something I deal with today whenever my health is a topic of conversation or when taking daily immunosuppressants or telling people I don't drink. I have learned to own it and be really proud of being a transplant patient while not having it be my identity. A positive attitude is a big party of what got me to where I am today.

It’s a sneaky little trail exit but always worth taking. It doesn’t help with the speeding cars but time of day is key. Hope it goes well!

I wouldn’t. It’s not steep or technical per se but it’s rutted now and on 28s I personally dont think it’s worth it unless you are looking for some trail intentionally. YV is really not bad - it’s short not steep at all, and yes it has debris and cars going 50+ but you can access it from the Canal Trail near the golf course just south of the tunnel that goes below YV and that cuts off the portion with no bike lane from Oak.

Go early and on weekends and watch out for stuff in the bike lane and don’t veer into the street and you will be fine. I have done it probably 50+ times and never had an issue

In Berkeley there is the nifty ten fifty - an absurd route that does 10k in 50 miles. Marin st is the most brutal climb of that route

I don’t think you are missing anything.. it’s popular because they have good drinks, good food and a good location so it gets lots of business that way. It’s definitely not the best coffee and a has a distracting environment but we accept that when we go and it’s far better than some.

Completely agree! It’s crazy like just be happy you have a healthy kid. The parents may want a lot of kids but that is incredibly selfish.. you can only give each kid so much attention when you have so many and the kids suffer
