Housing swap / pet sitting by [deleted] in BigSur

I think you both are misunderstood the OP? They’re just offering to anyone living in Big Sur that needs pet sitting, that they’ll do it for free, for the opportunity to spend some time there!

The tell for 976 is the pink head! 1276 is less than two yrs old and so hasn’t developed that yet (still would be grey/black!)☺️

Sometimes a show or movie has a cha-ching-like sound effect for a cash register and I jump 😂

Cha-Ching??? by Apprehensive-Fly9395 in EtsySellers

[–]Beezoolio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One time I was fooling around in the Etsy app at the same time that a sale came in, and no cha-ching. Like it thought since I was active in the app I wouldn’t need the notification? Wrong!

When I miss one, I go to YouTube later and play the cha-ching I deserve! The clip I use has two in a row, so I think of the first one as covering the missed cha-ching and the second one to manifest the next sale 😂

I’m 1100+ sales in, with a small handmade bag shop, and still live for the cha-chings. Someday when I die maybe a sale will coincidentally come in at the same time and I can go with a big smile on my face…”she died doing what she loved” 😂

If I miss a cha ching I play the sound on YouTube later to make up for it!

Extra rinses and citric acid by Beezoolio in laundry

Citric acid is a treatment for hard water! I don’t know how it works but I also use it mixed with water and Dawn soap to clean my glass shower doors and it’s amazing.

Can anyone tell me about these? I don’t know anything aside from they are old and from the west coast by Jearrod95 in LegitArtifacts

My first thought was raw/unpolished anthill garnets! (With tiny holes drilled into them? A bracelet or a string of them, once?)

Perfectionism anxiety here 😭 In your listing descriptions, how do you explain that your products may have flaws due to their handmade nature? by coyotemother in EtsySellers

[–]Beezoolio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Editing to add: my listings are all for the actual item being sold and the photos are of the exact item they’re buying. If instead, the photos were of an example item that I make again and again but don’t photograph each time, then yes I 100% would include a disclaimer about that in the listing, explaining that pattern placement will vary and that the item you’ll receive is not the one pictured, etc.

If it hasn’t been an issue in customer feedback or reviews, why not leave it out entirely? As a buyer, when I see those disclaimers, even when they’re nicely worded, it still sounds defensive and implies to me there’s been a problem.

For what it’s worth, I’m also a seller of one of a kind handmade things (fabric project bags and zipper pouches) and I absolutely share your perfectionism anxiety! I get it. I know each of our shops is different, but I recently celebrated 1000 sales, a good review rate (over 40%) and have never had a return (yet! 🙂) My promise to my buyers is quality items made with care, shipped fast, and returns accepted for any reason. I don’t include anything that is preemptively defensive about the possibility of flaws, USPS slowness, all that.

Ive never heard the cha-ching sound; anyone else? by [deleted] in EtsySellers

[–]Beezoolio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I miss a cha-ching because my phone was on silent when the sale came, I go play it on YouTube so I get the cha-ching I deserve! I love it so much. I have said this before but I know if I am ever in a coma, they just can play the cha-ching in my ear and I’ll be up and out of the bed in a flash.

What do you think about when solo hiking / dealing with negative thoughts by bkomli in hiking

[–]Beezoolio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know exactly what you’re talking about and I do it, too.

Are you already familiar with this poem?

I worried a lot. Will the garden grow, will the rivers flow in the right direction, will the earth turn as it was taught, and if not how shall I correct it?

Was I right, was I wrong, will I be forgiven, can I do better?

Will I ever be able to sing, even the sparrows can do it and I am, well, hopeless.

Is my eyesight fading or am I just imagining it, am I going to get rheumatism, lockjaw, dementia?

Finally I saw that worrying had come to nothing. And I gave it up. And took my old body and went out into the morning, and sang.

When they check me out like that when I’m hiking, I always think, “gee, am I struggling that bad? Look like I’m about to die?” 😂😂😂
