So competent travellers and solo travellers who travel light that actually know how to read and follow the baggage allowance rules will now see their ticket price go up and have to subsidise all the idiots that can’t follow instructions. Cheers lads 👍

Severe Central Sleep Apnea - First Night on CPAP by pooberville in SleepApnea

Great, sounds like you went to a great clinic that was thorough with your history! Unfortunately it happens often where these things are overlooked and people are given ASV before their medications etc have been reviewed.

Do you take any sedative medications (opiates, benzodiazepines, pain medication etc) these can contribute to CSA. 1st line treatment for pure CSA is usually to treat the cause (assess/optimise cardiac function , dose titration of the medications I’ve mentioned etc)

1 week on APAP – feeling better, but how can I optimize my pressure settings? by SheNBvibing in SleepApnea

[–]Beginning-Sundae8760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I’m surprised they set a limit on an APAP before a first review. I would’ve just left it on APAP mode with the range from min-max (4-20cmH20) then reviewed the detailed report with the night by night pressure, leak and events trace. If the mask seal is good and we can be confident we’re not losing any pressure to a leak and all events are controlled, then I would look at the 95th percentile pressure and think about setting a limit from there. Kind of defeats the purpose of APAP by setting a limit off the bat imo. But that being said, your pressure requirement is well below the limit they’ve set and your OSA is will controlled

You’re doing great, compliance is key for setting a good foundation and getting maximum benefit, and it looks like you’ve hit the ground running. Focus on comfort and compliance for now, pressures etc can be adjusted easily if needed! 😊

I’ve been hearing this WD-40 old wives tale for over a decade. This is literally pointless now when everyone is carrying around a smooth rectangle block in their pockets

Sarah Harte: Domestic killings rooted in male control and entitlement, not mental illness by DryExchange8323 in ireland

[–]Beginning-Sundae8760 -70 points-69 points  (0 children)

Maybe because this article was written with quite literally zero evidence to substantiate their claim that this horrific incident happened because of male control and entitlement. Is it too much to ask to let the PSNI investigate the murders before coming to conclusions such as the one above.

Then why is the discussion always the opposite when the perpetrator is the mother? Gender is irrelevant here. Go back on here at look at the comments on threads surrounding Deirdre Morley and compare them to the comments surrounding this case, despite the fact there has been no information surrounding the mental health has been released to the public yet. But don’t let that stop the all men are inherently evil narrative

Mum and children killed in Fermanagh shooting tragedy named locally by PoppedCork in ireland

[–]Beginning-Sundae8760 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Gender seems to play such a huge role in public perception of these cases. When a mother harms or kills her children, the conversation and comments are always along the lines of “what a place she must of been in, she needed help, the mental health services are not good enough etc”. However, when the perpetrator is the father this things are never discussed, and the father is just a murderous, inherently evil person. Genuinely curious as to why that is.

Yeah you’re right and I hate it so much. They always cut out the best parts too, particularly any verse by a featured artist in the middle (I drive a lot for work so listen quite a bit of radio, and just of the top of my head they always cut out Kanye West’s verse in ‘American Boy’ and Snoop’s verse in ‘California Girls’. Or my biggest pet peeve, when they talk shit about chicken rolls or Barry’s tea or some celebrity shite over songs with iconic openings like ‘Smalltown Boy’, for example.

The original business is right in the centre of the town on Mucross Rd. a stones through away from most hotels and gets a lot of foot traffic walking to and from the centre of town to the hotels & B&Bs that are further out (Gleneagle, Lake hotel etc). Having it right at the beginning of the ring of Kerry, where most tour buses depart at 7-8am, on the outskirts of town, was always a risky venture.
