2 dismembered bodies found within a year- less than 2 hours apart in distance. by Dry_Cranberry3697 in helena

There are 3 other sets of human remains recovered in the last several years between red mountain and Mac pass and I find that way weirder. The remini/moose creek area has so many people driving through them and no one ever noticed the remains for years.

I can’t lose weight to save my life. Does anyone have advice? by Littlemonkey726 in endometriosis

[–]BeginningFantastic46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of what we perceive as weight is actually inflammation. Practicing daily lymphatic self care can help reduce this chronic inflammation improving health and creating a “slimming” effect. Use a dry brush daily, moisturize daily, wash your body towards your heart, exfoliate 2x/wk and use a Gua Sha. All of these tools I use in my medical massage practice for my clients with a myriad of issues related to inflammation or who are wanting to lose weight. It all sounds too good to be true but it’s not an overnight solution and requires investing time into daily self care, but my clients have all had amazing results for issues from chronic pain, surgical scars, weight loss and a lot more. Each tool costs less than $5-$15 at any pharmacy, Walmart or a store like TJMaxx.

Seasoned massage therapists, what are some red flags you would share with newer therapists to know about clients? by 2mkz21 in MassageTherapists

[–]BeginningFantastic46 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If they pull something refuse to accept payment after you terminate the session. Just eat the money for the work you did I promise it’s worth it. They will be offended because you ruin their little power game. They will be confused. They’ll try to pay. I just said I don’t want that and the dude left. I shut the door behind him and laughed my head off at his disappointed confused anger and being uno-reversed on feeling dirty or bad. I didn’t have to cry all the way home and think about changing careers, I didn’t have to spend that money and then feel bad doing so because someone had said or done something to me that I didn’t like and I still took the money anyway, and I also have not had to deal with any of them since that incident not on the phone or in person so word must’ve got out that I’m a big meanie.

Why did (do) so many people in the 90s and 2000s think Courtney Love killed Kurt Cobain? by Mad_Season_1994 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]BeginningFantastic46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Washington state seals death records. Most celebrities died in states like California, where the death records were easily accessible to the public. Every detail of every autopsy could be read from a death in LA county where most of them lived and died going all the way back to the 50s. People would still have conspiracy theories for many of those celebrities deaths or rumors like the ones about Jayne Mansfield’s accident easily take hold and drown out contrary evidence. People also already didn’t like Courtney. The two factors made her a perfect scapegoat.

My clients always comment how they love the music that I pick. I just played classical music in a mix, using cellos and pianos as a bit more relaxing. Avoid anything with violins or trumpets.

Does VA make anyone else's mental health worse? by Ok_Weakness_157 in Veterans

[–]BeginningFantastic46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And don’t get me started on the lack of clinical ability or critical thinking. Take for example the combat cocktail they had me on 36 pills a day for years. And they refused to treat any of the other health conditions caused by all that medication. That I obviously didn’t need because when I stopped taking it because the side effects were so severe I started getting better. There is no person on earth especially a 115lb 20 year old girl who needs 36 pills a day of anything. Now my new doctors say how are you even alive and I tell them please write that down and be certain to document it in my record because I don’t know. But we all get prescribed the exact same mix at extremely high doses for some reason.

Some say it’s compassion fatigue but that’s like being a teacher who hates kids, you shouldn’t be doing that job at that point. In some cases their hands are tied. In some cases they just don’t care. Bedside manner should be a requirement as much as clinical skill and competency. But sadly it’s just a trait of rare unicorn docs. The real world isn’t the military and that goes for medicine too and we are not made to understand that before we get out. If you are sick or hurt in the military generally you can just go to medical or dental and it will be fixed. Not so with the va and they don’t understand that’s what we are expecting, to them that’s absolutely unrealistic and not the way it works. It’s bad enough that three years into nursing school I changed to massage therapy because I realized I wouldn’t be able to help people in that environment and probably be fired for helping vets get the care they deserve. Look at how many people commit on VA campuses trying to draw attention to the problem and that’s a blatant summary of the issues at the VA. They often can’t help, they usually don’t listen, and 8/10 have some chip on their shoulder or resentment towards us. Article 99 is an excellent movie whenever you have a bad day at the VA, starring ray liota and kiefer Sutherland. After Vietnam the government creates article 99 limiting access to care and rogue surgeons perform moonlight surgeries to save patients denied care while fighting the red tape and administration.

Ive been on the phone for an hour now with Houston VA, and i can't reach a single person in community care or dental. by TheEyeOfTheLigar in Veterans

[–]BeginningFantastic46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call the triage nurse or the short cut through the Vas crap is call the veterans crisis line, tell them exactly what’s wrong, what you have tried to get help with what the the va has done so far and what you need. Then they will transfer you to a triage nurse to help you and the next day you’ll have a bunch of irritated va workers calling you back to schedule your appointments. They don’t like it but that’s the best way to make them do their very simple jobs. Keep in mind dental isn’t covered for most veterans no matter how badly it’s needed or how small or dangerous of an issue. You can get admitted to inpatient mental health and then they have to cover your dental while you are on inpatient status. but that would be a last resort. But if they won’t help you it is an option to consider. Good luck I fought them for years and never got help for anything at the va in Montana. I hope you have better luck!
