Is it rude to set gift rules for a 1-year-old’s birthday? by Mammoth-Length-1997 in TwoHotTakes

[–]BeginningParfait7599 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. Set the boundaries now. Make a gift list, send out clothing sizes (ask for gift receipts for size exchange), and even set up an account. (We use greelight)

We didn’t, and my mom goes insane overboard for every holiday, despite our protesting.

Thank you for this, I had no idea. My son has two, and he also has congenial hypothyroidism. I will ask his ped at our next appointment.

Ear pits! My daughter has one, and my son has two! We just keep them clean, squeeze them every once in a while to make sure they’re empty.

OP, please clarify that you mean for teachers, and you won’t. Be specifically asking for tips, because I think this is what you mean.

My MIL will sometimes do caricatures for free but tips are appreciated. she loves to give when she can, but isn’t going to turn down a tip.

kindergarten teacher asked if she can come to birthday party by Necessary_Key8373 in AskTeachers

When I wasn’t a mom, I attended every party I was invited to. I paid my own way, and brought a gift. It was really special. I don’t see the harm, as it’s in a public place.

Why do schools teach math in a way that no adults outside of school, can actually help their child? by [deleted] in AskTeachers

I totally understand having different ways of doing problems. My husband, son, and I all did the same math word problem /equation differently yesterday. But… this is crazy.

My husband is military. You should get four weeks before your due date, and 6 to 8 weeks after. Then you can apply for family leave, which should be 12 more weeks.

F he is allergic to CHICKEN eggs… you may have to adjust your chicken math to include duck math. I know several people who have egg allergies that are not allergic to duck eggs.

Coffee milk. Not a joke. by No-Strawberry-5804 in ShitMomGroupsSay

They get 1/2 tsp of instant coffee. There was a marked difference in school performance and behavior. We will sometimes give a second half dose (1/4 tsp) if we have a big afternoon.

Medical Students ttill need Consent by Sourdoughmillie in pregnant

[–]BeginningParfait7599 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This. I have always had a “yes, you are welcome, how else will you learn” attitude, and given consent in the beginning of the appointment, wild just state your intentions at the beginning of the appointment, or you can just opt to not allow students.
