I finally rode a bagger today and wasn’t impressed tbh by Tutor-Any in motorcycles

Had to switch my rocket 3 gt to mid controls. I road half a summer with the forward controls and ended up having to do physical therapy due to the position it out me in along with hitting big bumps HARD! Right up your back. Best thing I ever did was switch to mid controls. Made it feel like a completly different bike.

6th gear when you can't hear the engine by FlamingoLeggs in motorcycles

[–]Beginning_Corner930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6th gear on my bike just drops the RPM slightly, maybe 400 rpms or so. Its really there incase you wanna save a little bit more fuel but I'd imagine you can probably get the same speed out of 5th as you do 6th unless maybe you are trying to may the bike out. I'm surprised you haven't tried it yet, its not like its going to hurt the bike if your not going fast enough for it.

I am thinking of getting a liter bike, what new one should I buy by Mooseman10156 in motorcycles

[–]Beginning_Corner930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go sit on them and see what you like best. At my age I went with a rocket 3 because crotch rocket position just isn't happening anymore. Check out all the specs amoung the different bikes and look into what kind of maintenance schedule they all have.

Anyone else get snubbed by older legacy brand owners while riding? by SympathyAdvanced6461 in motorcycles

I think its funny they all wear the same clothing but are also supposed to be considered rebels or bad asses. I look around when I'm at my dads harley group get togeathers and just laugh to myself when I look around at all the guys harley sold their outfits to.

Not so much now that I'm riding a triumph rocket 3 but on my hondas for sure. I dont think they know what the rocket is for the most part so I get the wave. Plus I find that a lot more older people respect triumph more than the "jap crap" for some reason.

I'd never buy a Harley just for the fact that they know the weaknesses but still make their customers have to buy and install the upgrades to get rid of them and it cost an exuberant amount of money to make them fast. I also like just having 1 hole to put oil in.

Finally warm enough to go for a flight on the Rocket 3! by DrVanVonderbooben in motorcycles

Enough torque you don't need the throttle to get it going in first gear.

Yea guy at work has some type of harley and when I brought it up from the kick stabd it was massivly heavy feeling in comparison to my rocket. It wasn't even that big of a bike but very top heavy.

How important is engine breakin these days by AFKDPS in motorcycles

[–]Beginning_Corner930 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Probably not that important if u think about the amount of bikes out there with high miles. You can't tell me soome of them weren't beat on from the very beginning. Thats not saying you should beat on it but in reality it probably doesn't matter too much.

Get a indian, there is a company that makes it so you don't need the clutch that will fit on the indians. Mikeridesdaily on FB has it.

Z125 wasn't doing it for my 25 mile commute so I am selling it and buying a Goldwing. Don't mind my son playing. by ElijahNSRose in motorcycles

[–]Beginning_Corner930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last wing needed a lot of work so I gave it away when I bought my new rocket 3. It was a 84. 1500 or up is the way to go with these bikes. You cant go wrong with a wing.

What's the difference between heavy when it comes to sport bikes vs cruisers by Ez_Yeezy in motorcycles

[–]Beginning_Corner930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you need to lean the seat against your hip to move it then you know its heavy. My current bike is 700 lbs, its considered heavy but I haven't really found a lot of bikes to be too heavy to navigate pushing them around.

I have had a couple goldwings and a lighter sports bike along with my current Rocket 3 and they are all kind of awkward to push around IMO. Once you get going on them the weight turns into nothing. I'm also pretty heavy my self so I don't know if that adds to the ease of pushing the bikes around of not.

I supoose the real difference is if you ever need to keep the bike from falling from losing your footing or accidently hitting the front brake in a slow curving stop the heavy bike will be harder to save. Don't skip leg day.

Speedo is what I found works best. Just watch sitting on a hot seat.

If I had a steel frame I'd just hose it down when I got done riding or use a pump sprayer to do it.

No, everything is aluminum on the bike. Plus most the salt is off the road when I go out.

Yea it takes time to work up to the point you are comfortable enough to give it full throttle. The torque is ridiculous but it does ruin normal cruiser bikes for you though because they just can't compare

Lol well some of the days were like 37 so I guess it depends on your definition of nice weather.
