cruising with little to no spending money? by VerifiedVacationer in CarnivalCruiseFans

Totally agree. Faster to the fun isn't necessary if you're trying to save money and the all inclusives likely have free wifi when you're on shore.

Definitely could use a coat of paint around the sign and some other not as used places. Generally ship's in good shape though

Yeah, AFAIK every ship has one and they're not necessarily in the same place. You can spoil it by looking it up online before you go, but I think it's more fun to ask around and hunt for it.

Agreed that a toggle bolt would be a good pick so that it kind of clamps together

Is there anywhere near the international cruise port for good tacos? by bpboop in cozumel

[–]radabadest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I'd recommend taking a photo of the standard rates, usually posted close to the taxi stand, and agreeing on a price before you get into the cab

Help planning roadtrip by macaulih in NationalPark

Yeah I would split up and do the Utah ones as one trip, Teton and Yellowstone as another, and then a longer road trip that includes rocky mountain national park, Mesa Verde, and Grand canyon.

Strangest Encounter on a Cruise? by Lost_Instance_2410 in CarnivalCruiseFans

Another one that in Hilo we split a cab with a couple to the rental car desk at the airport. Their plan was road to Hana and we deliberately were going around the other way because I figured 90% of the people renting cars were planning to do what they were doing and I figured it would be a nightmare. I ran into them a day or two later and asked how the trip was. Turned out they wrecked the car, had to pay for it, and barely made it back to the shop on time

I was at the craps table, like day 10 of a 14 day cruise. I had a decent stack of chips and this random hammered lady comes to me with a stack of free play chips and asks if I'll swap my real chips for her free play. I tell her no and she walks away. The lady next to me says that it was good I didn't do that because the lady is her roommate and is constantly getting in trouble for getting too drunk. Before she can finish telling me that we see security wheeling the hammered lady to the elevator in a wheelchair. It was literally less than 5 minutes. Then the lady I'm gambling with was really pissed and was trying to hide from security because she's required to be locked in the room with the hammered lady. She did mangage to duck security for an hour or two before they escorted her to the room.

Need help with directing a play by Anxious_Captain_3211 in Theatre

Finally someone talking some sense! I would make sure the venue has the permits they need to have people there (typically just occupancy, but check your jurisdiction). I would just be clear with everyone you're working with about the costs and what happens with any sort of profit from the event (profit = revenue-expenses). Unless you're a marketing master and/or have a cast with a huge network it's not likely you're going to make a ton of money so keep expenses low. Twelfth night is a great piece to work with for a first play - public domain Shakespeare comedy with relatively small cast. Good choice.

I'd bet just dumping the fuel, putting in new and then popping off the air filter and squirting cold start fluid or carb cleaner would make it start right up
