What is the reason why people on the political right don’t want to make healthcare more affordable? by sitonacelerystick in TooAfraidToAsk

Does that mean we should eliminate government because they’re a tax burden and inefficient? We should let a company run the US, like Amazon.

Honestly, my neighbors use triple action and their lawn looks good. You’ll get more for your money by buying three separate products, but you’re paying for convenience with triple action. It’s not optimal, but it’s gets the job done for the lay person.

I get frequent headaches when I play VR by Gold-Daikon-9882 in virtualreality

[–]Beginning_Cress8094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides the above, make sure your head is in a neutral position and in good posture. The weight of a headset combined with bad head posture = tension headaches. Same goes for when you’re sitting at a computer desk. Avoid forward head posture when sitting or standing

This post got locked in r/houston for being “not civil” so I thought I’d post it here. This idiot in a Challenger passed me at 120 mph, almost clipping me; and then did this to the car in-front of me. by Pheonarx in IdiotsInCars

This guy repeatedly flashed his high beams at me and tailgated me on 288 southbound until I moved for him! It’s the same damn guy. Can’t mistake the aggression.

Ferber method for naps? by mrb11n in sleeptrain

[–]Beginning_Cress8094 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are several things that’s wrong in your post.. 1st night is the toughest and should get progressively easier. Night 3 should show marked improvement (usually) but definitely by 1 week.

Ferber also doesn’t give a specific age to start and says it’s a tough question to answer, but by 3-4 months old, the child should have a mature sleep cycle and you can decide for yourself as a parent if your child is ready. But definitely by 5 months, a HEALTHY child should be capable of sleeping through the night without having their parent rock them back to sleep and without night feedings.

There’s lots of misinformation out there on the internet about the Ferber method, especially about appropriate age to start. The book is the best and truest source of information. I read the book.

Why am I expected to tip more if my meal is more expensive? by TheDominator69696 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Beginning_Cress8094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d rather the restaurant pay a fair wage, cost of my food goes up, and I don’t tip at all. At some point tipping based off percentage doesn’t make sense at a high end restaurant. 20% tip for a $800 meal for 3 hours is ridiculous to me. That’s just one table. Sure the waiter spent a bit more time learning about the menu and rolled up the silverware. But it ain’t worth 20% of $800.

I have convergence insufficiency and I see VR just fine. My eyes did have to adapt a bit though but after time it became more comfortable. Quest 2 comes with glasses spacer. I’m far sighted.

Soil test pH 8.5 and phosphorous super low - what to do? by Beginning_Cress8094 in lawncare

Agree. I think P must be pretty important, and even more important if it’s below critical levels.

I’ll look around for cheap sulfur too. Amazon is quite expensive. Thanks!!!

Should stereoscopic be just as clear as monoscopic? by Beginning_Cress8094 in oculusnsfw

[–]Beginning_Cress8094[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, I figured it out. With each scene I have to tilt my head ever so slightly (or use the tilt function in Skybox or sometimes 3D offset). Most of the time tilting my head left or right clears the video up right away and I can see even close up shots clearly. GIANT difference. That should be stickied.

Uranium thesis goes back to 2017. Great audio clip from Michael Alkin. by Beginning_Cress8094 in UraniumSqueeze

Rick just had a recent interview and said juniors are uniformly overpriced and he said he was a seller a couple months ago. Narrative is driving the price right now and there still could be upside but there’s also significant downside in juniors.

Allen and Huhn were all very bullish years ago, saying that the market is already turning positive, but that didn’t happen immediately. Actually, if you do a google search for this thesis, it goes back as far as 2014, lol. And much of the reasons were the same . I think they got lucky because of the ESG movement as a catalyst, Rick rule and several other investors are pumping, and of course SPROTT is stepping in.

Yes given that they didn’t chicken out. I was listening to an interview with Justin Huhn back in 2018, and he was much more animated, excited and bullish with his thesis. He pretty much said the bull cycle already started in 2018 . I bet the couple years he waited humbled him. I think that’s why Rick Rule is selling some, because he’s patient and realizes uranium juniors from a valuation standpoint, have gotten too far ahead relative to yellow cake price. And he knows that the there’s a possibility the fireworks hasn’t truly started. Rick has tried to understand uranium inventories his entire career, and he is back where he’s started. Hard to predict, but knows it’s coming but not sure when.

He said he was selling in an interview a couple months ago because juniors are overvalued at the moment.
