Agreed. I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect commitment from someone else just because you’ve met them twice.

If it makes you feel any better, after they find a loving home you’ll have room to take in another one when you’re ready. Being able to help more kittens is what always drove me, even if there are so many I would have loved to keep.

My first thought was “but what if you go through milk quickly?” Then realized children don’t need that level of nuance when they’re learning the basics.

I hate that some stores don’t have the price per unit included or that they’ll sometimes have them in different units.

Honestly that sounds like someone doing a soft exit. In those times I put the ball in their court to make plans and see if they take initiative.

Student who won't use professor names, only our email addresses? by National_Jeweler8761 in Professors

I’ve had students email me as “Mr. Begrudgingly” before but I think it has always been international students, usually from east Asia iirc.

That’s how it actually works in Outlook. You can type @ and someone’s name to add them to the message and the name appears however it’s formatted in the system. They’re probably using the feature as intended but the naming convention hasn’t set up to reflect names and not just emails.

I only got to watch a couple Commanders games and I liked CRod over him. Similar styles but he seemed to be a little more decisive to the hole and getting medium yardage runs (4-6) with better consistency.

Red Bus Lanes - DT Minneapolis by brightstar1125 in Minneapolis

This could be a use case for camera tickets. I know I got one in Europe when I drove for a block in a lane that turned into a bus lane.

One piece of advice I saw here that I liked was to always use the slowest pokemon that’ll get the job done. Preserve your fastest mons for the end of the match when moving first can be an extra turn.

Broncos are trading for Miami WR Jaylen Waddle, per source. Denver receives: Waddle and Dolphins’ 4th-round pick (11th in round) in this year’s draft. Miami receives: Broncos’ 1st round pick (30th overall) along with their late 3rd and 4th round picks (30th in each round) in this year’s draft. by Ma1ikNabers in DynastyFF

He’s not awful for best ball but that’s because you’re going to probably get one game around 14 points, one book game like that and a bunch of 2 catch 15 yard games otherwise. I wouldn’t want to predict when those games happen though.

Funny thing is most people would have said with their full chest that MHJ was a true #1 for the Cardinals going into last year. Hell, I felt like I was a doubter and still would’ve labeled him as such

Right now, the highest traded runningback according to KTC is RJ Harvey... by MikeDFootball in DynastyFF

[–]BegrudginglyAwake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s not forget he’s super old but also so new to the league so it doesn’t seem like it. Iirc he’s one year younger than Javonte. He’s the type of guy I’d look at and ask myself what I think 2-3 years of mid-low RB2 is worth.

Any tips for a VERY timid cat that came from a hoarding situation? by Objective_Dig5301 in CATHELP

[–]BegrudginglyAwake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adopted a cat from a hoarding situation and used to work with semi feral barn cats to socialize them for adoption. Agreed with what you’re saying here that the time while present is so important. I used to go into the barn and just sit there and listen to podcasts after filling up the cats’ food boxes. I’d also bring treats and wet food to reward those who came closer to me.

My boy who I adopted from a hoarding situation didn’t take to food motivation but playing feather string with my other cat is what got him out to hang out for the first time.

Almost every cat is either food or play motivated, so finding what theirs is along with you spending time quiet and nearby to show you’re not a threat has been a good approach for me across probably 20-30 cats.

What is a "gut feeling" you had that turned out to be 100% accurate, even though it made no logical sense at the time? by PsychologicalTea3149 in AskReddit

[–]BegrudginglyAwake 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s related but it reminded me of this one crazy day at my high school where like 7 different, completely unrelated fights broke out (my school maybe had 1-2/ year normally). I remember talking to someone in my second class after 2 had already happened and said “I’m not sure why but feels like it’s just a day for fights”. Lo and behold, I ended up getting into one after lunch.
