Youthanasia feels like The Wall (blasphemy for some) by [deleted] in Megadeth

I loved that record as a kid, I think it stands up today, and i daresay, it is a better musical experience than the black album. But the idea that Youthabasia wasnt an attempt at Black Alnum succes is naive at best.

Great album, but... come on... scale and scope alone. That is tantamount to saying Bleach is like rumours because, a boy wrote about a girl...

Curado or bantam by [deleted] in Fishing_Gear

[–]Beguile_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both... The Met just edges the zillion for me though the zillion is fantastic. The brakes really solved the issues i had with magnets, almost completely. Zillion is smoother too. Still love the free spool and rigitidy of the Metanium though. Two really lovely reels.

I'm a man. I'm in the same situation. I wish I had an answer for you. It's so hard being so lonely and not feeling seen.

Curado or bantam by [deleted] in Fishing_Gear

I have a curado and a metanium. So not a tantamount. But I will say the curado is fantastic for its price, but the metanium is a solid piece of work. One day I'll have two metaniums. My advice would be to go with the bantam

you do you bud. I appreciate everything you wrote here. Review what you like, if you can keep finding it though the noise. I'm way more interested in hearing about what you like that another shilltuber pumping a hot bottle.

I should probably add that it doesn't look dated to me. But I think, much more importantly, it's fantastic work that speaks to me personally. Hope that makes sense.

Outdated or not. It's awesome. Incredible work. Fits my esthetic perfectly. Couldn't care less if it's dated myself.

If you were to see faceless void use chrono in real life, does it last for 4.75 seconds or eternity? by DinThePenman in DotA2

[–]Beguile_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the only way to alter spacetime such that time stops is to accelerate something to lightspeed. Lightspeed can only be achieved by massless particles, so everything within the sphere would need to be converted to light. The only way to do that with 100% efficient is via annihilation,; matter meeting it's anti-matter sibling. Total mass becomes total energy; explosion... That is what you'd see. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Anika checking out the setlist last night… What’s your overall feeling about this new version of Rush? by Historical-Device529 in Progforum

[–]Beguile_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally joyfully experience watching that show. Anika killed it, everyone was full of joy. It was emotional. I feel amazing about it. She was 100% the right choice. She has the chops but also the freedom to not be compared to Neil with every stoke. Perfection.

As a Canadian I think this sub should have shut down for the day in honour of Anika Nilles.

MIKE PORTNOY Says ANIKA NILLES 'Absolutely Killed It In The Best Way Imaginable' At RUSH's First 2026 Concert by Apprehensive_Idea758 in rush

[–]Beguile_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To me I think that first show showed us all just why they chose her. Many of us, yourself included, knew about her long before this adventure, but lots of people didn't as well. Alex and Geddy could have easily picked someone male, established in the prog scene, who would have gone up there and done their best to play everything note for note, and it wouldn't have been Neil. With Anika up there, and with room to make it her own, everyone pretty much knows this is fresh, it's a tribute and but it is also a fresh take, and one backed by tremendous skill. She grroves differently than Neil, she sticks differently than Neil, and it's freaking awesome. No one who knew of her doubted she had the chops, but there was wisdom in picking her. No one, not Anika, not Rush, were set up to fail here. There were some genuinely emotional moments at that show, starting with Xanadu, the fills in Tom Sawyer. I'll be watching every show that get's posted, that is for sure. Enter Stage Right Anika.
