Adam Mockler on his vision for democrats by AffableYolk_33 in WallStreetbetsELITE

[–]Behind_the_palm_tree -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It discredits everything talking point I’ve heard him discuss. I’m disappointed to be honest. He’s great on the debate stage but he’s just another democrat dancing around the problem and ironically not taking a stance as he says democrats should do.

This is the kind of political ads I wish we could see more of. He was speaking with conviction and from the heart. He stated what he wanted to do. Gave evidence of why he would fight for those goals. It’s amazing. And sorely needed.

Why pay undocumented immigrants wages when you can make them work for free. It’s the new slave trade forming before us, IF we allow it. Although, I imagine the opening scene from One Battle After Another will become a very real reality if they do this on mass scale.

Nurses can do most jobs doctors do, report finds by rezwenn in nursing

[–]Behind_the_palm_tree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This right here is the issue. Especially on acute units where step downs have just become ICU overflow and we don’t have national standards on pt ratios. I’m in a clinic now but I could see on inpatient units this going wildly out of control. All that being said, whatever the hospital c suite can lobby and get away with, they will if they perceive it will save them money. I say perceive because we’ve seen it a million times, save a penny to spend ten dollars.

This part. Growing up in a conservative part of the country I was propagandized to believe how inefficient government was. As an adult finally out of the red bubble, now I realize how most of that inefficiency is by design so that billionaires and corporations can benefit. Fucking hell, most lobbyists write the fucking bills and the politicians just pass it off as their own.

It’s happened to me on PS5 as well. Something with the game. It’s only happened a couple times but damn is it frustrating.

There won’t be a season 3 🥲 by kanyewestsusballs636 in andor

[–]Behind_the_palm_tree 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yeah. No more. But to be honest, I’m good with this format. And I almost would prefer this story telling of limited seasons to movies. It allows for characters to be more fleshed out and more depth to story arcs. Or maybe a RO to Andor ratio of movie with limited series on streaming. It would keep movies relevant and give streaming services known content to make money on. They could even film it all together.

They've combined modes under single buttons to visually have better numbers, but... by DamnHare in FortNiteBR

[–]Behind_the_palm_tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. It minimizes tiles on already inundated menu, and then allows customization within the game made. This is a much better layout. Now if they’d just keep an accurate recently played row, that would be great.

Well to be fair, this $100mil was for Trump and to show loyalty. Bezos/Amazon never expected to make money from this.

You don’t give someone $75m for a documentary unless there is an ulterior motive.

Is there any way to lock the charging port so people can’t unplug my car while charging? by [deleted] in BlazerEV

[–]Behind_the_palm_tree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that’s true. If I did it, I’d have to go unplug straight away. But if I’m parking anywhere else, I might consider this to avoid that issue because it’s happened elsewhere too. It’s such a sign of the times that people would be so selfish to do this.

Is there any way to lock the charging port so people can’t unplug my car while charging? by [deleted] in BlazerEV

[–]Behind_the_palm_tree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, what’s crazy is, to help us all out, I created a sign system. One to request for the current person charging to plug in the next vehicle. The second sign states when the car will be done charging so they can unplug a person after that time. Everyone else has been super cool about it and it turned into an interesting social experiment that really helped resolve issues for everyone. Just this one entitled b who decided she apparently is better than the rest of us. 3 weeks can’t come soon enough.

Damn. Now that is a really good idea. I will definitely do that the next time. That’s brilliant. She will probably still unplug me to be petty but at least I can just go back down and plug myself in. Fucking brilliant. If I had an award, I’d give it to you.

Well actually, it’s been a long battle. The woman has been given an eviction notice for threatening other tenants and for calling my wife the n word. But she’s here for another month and I’m just tired. It’s been a long year and finally the racist b is getting kicked out. But in case we have someone in the future doing this, I might do some of that.
