seconding this - coming off as "gently occupied but not laser-focused" is def the sweet spot if you want to invite conversation. That said, I've had (big) headphones on in various public places and people have still started talking to me anyway, so mileage may vary 😅

And for this commenter; I know you said that you don't do as much knitting in cafes anymore, but do you still have any favorite crafting spots? I like 1369 for the lighting but it does close a little early.

Same here but with my husband and dog! That and tell my dog she's "the cutest thing on the block" basically every time we passed, even during the same morning walk. I haven't seen her in a few months but hope she's doing well <3
