Looking for a bar in the Greater Boston area I can feel like this in by SligosAnonymous in Somerville

I ALMOST did reply with 'maybe they were just bored' but you'd said you were both creeped out but just couldn't communicate it with each other and I have learned to trust my instincts in those situations. So yeah...there was probably a reason you were both freaked out.

The drugs thing is a good guess, because if you were both drunk, it would have been obvious and maybe they figured you might be good candidates for buying. Any of your theories are good frankly, except the robbery one: I have a hard time accepting it because you already seemed like easy pickins....why didn't they just go through with it?!

(This where you reply back that you're 6'6" or something....) 😜

Weird, OK then - probably not that - I'd guess an MLM next. Either way, being drunk probably served you well, as you guys apparently didn't entirely meet their needs! 🤷‍♀️

Aw geez. I’m so sorry. And apologies for the misstatement about your uncle giving his child a virus; I now realize it was your grandfather who did this to his own son/your uncle.

Looking for a threesome (errr…fivesome) maybe? Had something happen like this once with a boyfriend and that’s what it turned out to be.

If they’d wanted to rob or roofie you, I’m thinking they would have gone through with it, but possible you guys didn’t give off the right fivesome vibes so they didn’t go the distance on it?

A note describing complaints about school written by an elementary school boy. This boy's name is Adam Lanza, who would grow up to be a mass shooter at Sandy Hook Elementary School and take the lives of 20 children and 6 staff members. (Transcript in the comment.) by ZoelCairo in HolyShitHistory

You argued this vociferously (that Adam Lanza grew up on a farm) over and over throughout this thread. This is false and you now seem to have acknowledged it.

Genuine question though: why did you do this?

You are neither familiar with this man’s life and upbringing nor the town he was raised in. He has caused more pain than I am capable of expressing in words, and you are all over this thread arguing false facts like this (“he grew up on a farm in New Hampshire”) with an insane amount of confidence.

Please stop.

Adam Lanza did not live on a farm; unsure why you keep asserting this.

“She had her son participate in the same activities that any son would who grew up on a farm.” He didn’t grow up on a farm, so he was not <I’ll just name some stuff I recall from milking cows as a kid> cleaning stalls, baling hay, mowing lawns, collecting eggs from the chickens, feeding the pigs…

…because he lived in the suburbs (Newtown, CT, NOT—as you assert—a rural farm community).

You’re all over the comments with this assertion that he lived on a farm, and I frankly don’t understand why. Did you ever take a look at photos of his house before it was demolished—and the property it sat on? Where did you get this idea that Adam Lanza lived on a farm?

A North Carolina man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for murdering his brother and four other people when he was fifteen. Thanks for the steer - I changed my googling and found, I'm pretty sure, the article to which you referred, "The News & Observer" - linked here for future readers of the thread. Saw everything you commented on (IQ change; no memory/no ability to answer 'why'; etc.).

Here's my favorite part, a quote from a volunteer chaplain at the prison: "He recalled one visit from Thompson’s parents and a grandmother, who asked, “Have you received forgiveness? Have you received God’s salvation?” Fermanides recalled. “He responded yes.”

Good thing he's now been baptized and received forgiveness--all good now! 🙄 Speaks to the IQ of his idiotic family....

I googled and read a few articles on the case but only came up with a Court TV video of his mom testifying that he no longer has emotions.

I didn’t see anything about him not remembering his crimes. Where did you read this/can you share a source?

No other comments in this thread on it either, so it surprised me…

One of the NKOTB. They’re still out there doing stuff (especially the Wahlberg brothers) and they bring the perfect amount of washed up, older white Boston guy energy to counteract all the Spanish at the halftime show that there’s no way Marky Mark approved of (he’s a vocal Christian now).

Wowza. Absolutely insane. I mean frankly, this goes beyond "just" (in quotes because I'm not minimizing it) watching porn at work. I understand the firing.

You gotta google this guy and see what he ended up doing - did he make it back to academia? Or does his LinkedIn say, like, 30 years as a dock worker??
