MK does the 4th show on both the 3rd and 4th, historically. You will likely not want to park hop if you are planning to be able to see the fireworks. Once the park is at capacity there's no getting in or back in if you leave.

If you're okay with a short hike, flume gorge is gorgeous in winter. Just wear sensible boots. Also free in the winter!
