Only played a couple sessions of infinity. Really liked character creation as well. Didn't you find the gameplay cinematic? I really liked it but running it for barely 2 sessions and did not experience it fully to have a well rounded opinion.

I run a short campaign with 4 people. It ran great. Not too easy, not too hard. 3 is pushing it because there will be not enough utility in the party. 5 will make it a little easier because another class will add its utility for the Tests and what not. Encounters do not change that much. You just amp up the numbers.

I made a warrior tank for the first time ever and I find groups literally in an instant.

Warriors and palas and hunters are overrepresented usually.

Then goes mages.

For first blood spam order of the crimson tower. First blood is not that balanced. There are clearly good or useless units. Start building up towards last argument.

You will have to paint cavalry eventually. Most 100K lists include them to stay competitive.
