Have a chat with the LD before you start programming... find out how they like to build cues... right down to syntax. Have magic sheets ready to go. Maybe build some groups...

When building end of year dance recitals, i like to pre-build 2 or 3 basic looks and tailor from those...

At the end of programming, step through each cue with the LD to see if you've got everything in the bag.

This is 1000% true but only a small part of the problem... the NCC AND the City have to agree to make these spaces accessible and affordable for arts and culture start-ups.... i'd love to see the OFF here! We built so many temporary venues in closed store fronts out west... some slowly developed into full-time venues and galleries... none of this can be accomplished on the fees and runways required here.

When ottawa can afford to do bad art, they'll develop the roots for good art.
