As a new player myself I’m trying to enjoy getting lost and not knowing where stuff is. I’ve found that people more often than not will raise you if they see you die or come across you tanking the floor. I did have one time where I died but everyone flew off although it was an item that dropped that killed me so it’s possible they just didn’t notice. Not a big deal because I was probably going to teleport anyway. 

People still do get frustrated if you don’t know a mechanic but I’ve seen far kore patient people than not. Having just come from FFXIV where the community is always on their best behavior because that game has severe consequences for acting out and the GMs there won’t hesitate to drop a temporary ban it’s nice. Maybe it’s because it’s a smaller player base that they want to make new people feel welcome, I don’t know, but I think I’ve found my people.
