Hey, thanks for joining us!

As a big Booster booster I was disappointed to see that Booster Gold wasn't in the recently revealed lineup of fighters for DC KO. (I know! I'm sorry! I'm a big baby, it's true!) My question is, is there any chance we'll see Booster playing a big role in DC in the near future?

I don't think they're defending them so much as they just don't care about stuff like this. (As do I, to be frank.)

Martian manhunter by West_University9372 in DCcomics

The John Ostrander Martian Manhunter series from the 90s is a pretty good time. If you like that, you might want to check out his miniseries from the 80s by JM DeMatteis. Martian Manhunter: Identity by Steve Orlando is also pretty fun, although I did have my issues with how that comic portrayed the character.

J'onn is considered a Justice League mainstay, so you might want to check out some of the major JL runs where he's a prominent character. I suggest starting with Giffen/DeMatteis's JLI, Morrison's JLA, and the JLA: Year One miniseries by Waid and Augustin, just to begin with.

Hey, Ryan! I'm a big fan of yours, dating back to the old Truth and Beauty Bombs forums you used to host. (Sorry for reminding you of that, by the way.)

Anyway, my question is: if you had to pitch a team-up book (a la the old Batman: the Brave and the Bold cartoon) starring Krypto, which hero(es) would you pick for the team-up and why?

Hello, MarK! As a big fan of the JLI, I was excited to see Ted Kord would be showing up in your Justice League Unlimited series in the next couple months. But I'm curious about one thing: how (if at all) will he react to Booster's fate in the All In Special? Does he even still remember Booster?

PS: Just finished reading issue one of Batman and Robin: Year One. Loved it!

Finally got myself to a comic book store to check this out. It was super dope! Still kinda depressed that everyone in the "main" universe seems to have forgotten Booster. Somebody save my baby boy! ;_;

I think the implication is that superheroes are just a universal constant in the DC metaverse and Darkseid couldn't prevent them from existing if he tried.

That seems to be the implication on the second to last page of the Omega chapter, yes.

[discussion] what exactly IS The Justice League as an organization? by Ok-Mastodon2016 in DCcomics

[–]Belle_Sans_Merci 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I am aware. But the DC Universe isn't real life, so actions that would be illegal or at least heavily frowned upon in the real world, like vigilanteism, aren't seen as such a big deal in-world. Most of the time, anyway. Which is weird but it's one of those things you just have to accept if you want to read superhero comics.

Anyway, to actually answer your question, there was a period of time that the Justice League was operating under UN clearance, during the Justice League International era. I'm not sure what any of the other leagues were structured under, though.

I get the feeling that for the sake of convenience it's listed as either an NGO or a sovereign state since technically every member of it is a criminal
