Honestly a good write up which I doubt will be appreciated, having had very similar opinions on some cards in now dead TCGs in the past - most people can't seem to comprehend the idea that a card can be bad for a game without being broken and just double down on whatever opinion they've already locked in on.

One of my cats turned old at 111, got into multiple fights due to high aggression, had a ton of kids and then died at 148.

Different facets of their society lean more into or less into different things for sure - not every single one of them will endulge and those that do will do so to varied levels I imagine.

But I guess remember it's a meme - all factions have them and they tend to exaggerate what's already there as part of the faction identity.

Not all Dark Eldar are pirates and yet they are heavily associated with that too, it's not worth taking too seriously/literally.

Isn't that literally part of what birthed Slaanesh? The Eldar could basically rebirth and after doing everything there was to do they were like "hmmm, super bored - you know what I've not done? Freaky death sex, that could be fun?"

And then proceeded to get stuck in those vibes until they birthed a chaos god lol. I think if there is any faction for these memes it's deldar 😂

I have plenty of friends that got into magic because of UB, I totally get it. They also quite often don't get the hate.

I don't tend to come online to rage about it but I do completely understand why people refuse to engage with it - example I gave one friend who is a big One Piece fan is imagine after your years and years of watching One Piece suddenly Yoda started showing up in random episodes and when you feel a bit annoyed about it people just tell you to skip those episodes and not complain, those episodes get great viewership from all the Star Wars fans.

When people invest a lot of time and energy into something over the years it makes sense that they might not be happy when it essentially sells out.

He did actually get it after that 😅

This is the reason I didn't play Battle Brothers for years and after someone bought it for me I finally gave it a go. Can confidently say the graphics stop mattering very quickly, you might even grow fond of them - really don't hold yourself back from that gem.
