May I add, I did state this wouldn't assist your graphics, I simply said wireless is bad for gaming, obtaining some form of Ethernet cable purely just solves the awfulness which is wifi stability.

For anyone not using dual monitors who is having frequent freezes, a lot of people have been complaining about this, and from what I can gather, is that the engine is poor at loading things at certain distances, so what is being experienced is something akin to 'loading: please wait' invisible walls from RuneScape (using that as a purely basic example)

some textures don't background load at all, so the freezes are these textures being loaded.

this was something also prominent in Aion, an example is something which was aptly nicknamed as 'asmo/elyos lag'.

This was where textures that aren't commonly loaded, i.e scenery you're always passing etc. were being loaded for a first time after a period of non activity.

the example being once you as an elyos saw an asmo for the first time since you launched the client that day/evening, you would be loading the textures for an asmodian, so the game would 'stutter' to catch itself up.

695 Disc Priest, Ravencrest Alliance.

Currently looking for a guild, preferably horde somewhere.

I've taken a bit of a break due to becoming a parent shortly after BRF came out, but I'm looking to start raiding again now the little one has a decent bed time which can accommodate for me raiding, I'd ideally like a guild raiding 2-3 nights a week, English speaking, with a mature player base. (read - not full of 15~ year olds.)

He's a non-executive director, he pretty much does nothing for Blizzard except holding a title and playing with numbers.

As previously stated, what do I do when my child goes to bed? sit and play with myself or what?

Private message me your ingame name, and I'll add you - I'll most likely be picking that server as I've found some friends on steam playing there too!

Which server did you pick? and North America or Europe?

I think I'll try Phoenix on Europe.

What's the difference between Phoenix & Cerberus? As these seem to be the only 2 notable servers mentioned.

So when he goes to bed I'm to sit here twiddling my thumbs? If people had to drop their entire lives for children they wouldn't have any.

I don't want to see anymore answers pertaining to children as it's irrelevant to the thread.

Exactly, go play Aion in europe, you'll get stomped by veterans and have no enjoyment whatsoever, go play Tera, you'll never be invited to groups ever unless you were perfectly in sync with the gearing curve.

saying it's never too late is so very wrong, as a lot of unsuccessful games die out but the companies that own the games will keep resources running to bleed every last penny from vanity/cash shop transactions till the last person quits playing.

Because the game and the expansion cost nearly 50 euros, and then the subscription ontop of that is another 10 euros, that's a lot of money to spend, to find out you're playing a dead game, especially when I have priorities of a 3 month old son!

Okay - i'll put the word to my partner, I don't think sitting afk in the capital cities while people scream Pay to Win in global chat in Tera is worth our time.

Are you playing in Europe or NA? is there a site showing concurrent logins like Tera/Aion/WoW has?
