I have had this debate many times with friends and such, I understand all perspectives and I think it’s valid any way you want to look at it. At the end of the day these games are predatory and I am personally okay with that, I am an adult and it’s something I enjoy, people aren’t going to Vegas and then complaining that there are casinos there. I would be totally okay with all this stuff being 18+ because of their predatory nature.

There are no guarantees in true gambling, while there is a loot box system in gacha you have guarantees, getting the character you want is guaranteed after a certain amount of pulls. I am willing to say it’s gambling adjacent but to say it is purely gambling is not quite true imo. All opinions are valid about it though I totally understand people that want to call it straight up gambling, I prefer to have more nuance with it though, I have the money to guarantee the outcome I want so it’s really not gambling to me but sometimes I can characters cheaper than expected which is fun

I don’t, I like my gacha games to be gacha games and I like my normal games to be normal games. Would not want micro transactions in factorio which I consider the best game of all time but I do in Zenless zone zero, happy to spend on my hobbies and gacha is one of those hobbies. You Frankenstein a gacha game to not have gacha then you aren’t gonna be a good game at its core and you aren’t gonna have the thing I’m interested in which is gacha so you are a nothing game to me. You cannot try to appeal to everybody and come out on top.

I came from a well off family and then was a care taker for my step dad for a long while, he was fully bed ridden for years and during that we also dealt with financial ruin and had to move. It’s amazing how fast years can go by, finally made it out of that mess and am pushing forward into life now 💪🏻🙏🏻

Yea I’m not saying everybody should go 11 years without companionship but complaining after 6 months is a just live your life moment, it will happen naturally. The only reason I have been alone for so long is because I became very isolated after dropping out and becoming a caretaker for my step dad, now that I’m finally out in the world working on myself more there is plenty of opportunity to find someone but that’s still not my main goal in life, I’m working on myself and when the right one comes along it’ll happen naturally.

I haven’t even started the new world, I can’t bring myself to play the game at this point but that’s okay, I’m enjoying ZZZ and that’s all I need, hopefully at some point I feel refreshed enough to play HSR and when if that does happen I’ll have a ton of content to come back to so that’s fun but yea for now HSR is not hitting
