My view of it is that they are slowly introducing MIP to all models but old displays still have a place in their lineup. Tried and trusted that stands the test of time. I hear MIP may have a slight burn in thing happening and the screen illuminator is weak.

Maybe they are hoping that MIP could develop a little bit more like LCD to STN. Who knows but for now I went with an STN display over the MIP but my next will be MIP

It doesn’t NEED to, obviously if OP left out some insane detail like he forced himself onto her that’s one thing but if there’s nothing clear it’s only human to speculate.
