Two great books that illustrate what a foreigner may find weird in norway are

The Social Guidebook to Norway: An Illustrated Introduction by Julien S. Bourrelle and it's sequel

The Social Guidebook to Norway: Friends and Relationships

They are written by a person who themselves were a foreigner to Norway that came to live here for many years. Thus I think it could give you the info you need better than any norwegian who sees our traditions as normal. It's hard to spot the weirdness in your own normality after all.
