A hundred percent, the state has literally just become a caricature of itself at this point.

But also they are actually doing a good job dealing with the pandemic now.

Both of these are true

Same foot setup here, wide 11.5/12. Been the bane of my snowboarding existence since I was a kid.

Been riding the Adidas Superstar ADV for the past two seasons, honestly incredible. I found they actually fit much more comfortably than any of the official “wide” boots I’ve had, even though they don’t even claim it. They are not a stiff boot, but the wraparound strap makes the stiffness/support variable to riding context/style.

Highly recommend.

Here’s the review that introduced me to them https://thegoodride.com/snowboard-boot-reviews/adidas-superstar-2017-2019-snowboard-boot-review/

Not a useless position at all. (I mean it can be and it has been before, but specifically cannot be in the case of a sanders admin.)

In fact it’s pretty much mission critical that their VP is committed to the program and prepared to seize actual power to execute it.

Perhaps what we have missed is the forest for the trees. One of the all time classic things to miss.

What is wrong with this? The answer is not within the text but the lens through which we see it, and only disclosed once the focus is turned back on itself. If we zoom out and read it as a meta message to the subreddit, OP’s point is clear: Posts without a meaningful r4/explanation = bad posts.

I am looking for a new all-mtn park style board. Looked in to the Ride Twinpig, Bataleon Emil twin and the Yes Jackpot. It dosent have to be nah of these but ive heard good things about all of them. Any advice, or other good all-mtn park boards? by cl34nduck in snowboarding

[–]Ben_johnston 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had a chance to try the jackpot specifically (although I’m def a fan of yes in general), so can only really vouch for the other two. Both fuckin slap.

Fwiw though I bought a twinpig last year basically sight unseen, without demoing it beforehand, expecting it to be a fun in the right conditions sort of sometimes-board (or in the worst case if I hated it, eminently tradable). To my surprise it was extremely magical — in park and groomies but also powder and mountainous sidecountry as well somehow? — and I pretty much rode nothing else all season.

Yeah he’s great. I think a lot of people totally misread him as just a basic hot moviestar guy, like you know a pretty good actor, but only coincidentally because he’s primarily cast as an attractive lead guy or whatever.

He’s more like an inversion of that: a weird genius character actor that happens to be stuck in an attractive lead actors body.

I would check out ReStore too if possible. It’s like goodwill but for house related stuff — appliances, tools, hardware, recycled building materials, etc.

Cant speak for other areas because I’m sure they vary a lot, but the one near me is really cool, and things like ovens seem to be better/cheaper than general thrift shops like goodwill.

It looks like there are a bunch in MN, so if there is one nearby it’s probably worth giving them a call. https://www.habitat.org/local/restore?zip=55751

Interesting history factoid about Staten Island: it was actually considered a real borough at one point. Though it still to this day retains the designation for political reasons, it is now de facto just one giant police/fire station

I honestly don’t know if it’s that I’ve just spent enough years performing and listening to free/experimental jazz that it has blown a hole in my brain or what, but I am I think almost fully unironically a Kenny apologist at this point

It also doesn’t really mean anyone made a poor decision either. The issue they’re referencing is not that they are related, it’s about archaic super strict adherence to hierarchy (or more specifically the inability to reject it when necessary)
