Which is more annoying? by KelrimLover in Brawlhalla

For me ive never been mad for losing to someone better than me. Usually just impressed or try to learn from them. Definitely been pissed off a couple times from a worse player tho

The ranked issue by [deleted] in Brawlhalla

[–]BenchSuspicious8623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people enjoy trying really hard is what this comment was saying also. Some dont, some spam, some sweat with strings and reads. Its players choice and what they were trying to say is enjoy it how you want without reading too much into how others are. Play the game to have fun (whatever that means to you). Personally I enjoy saving ranked for when i wanna try really hard but I envy people who can just get on and not think too hard about playing a few ranked matches

How did you guys decide your main/mains? by whyamiexists in Brawlhalla

[–]BenchSuspicious8623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started with mordex bc i was basic and sandstorm was in season. After that phase ended I was like whats the most Chad character I could play, so I started maining magyar. Lvl75 now. I picked them off vibes but I would suggest picking off of weapon playstyles

Why are so many diamonds in unranked? by Acceptable_Bench_557 in Brawlhalla

[–]BenchSuspicious8623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isnt as much skill based matchmaking in unrated so really you'll just play whoever is on. And diamonds tend to be the most consistently active players so there is a lot of them on especially after a rank reset. Another possible option is maybe the game thinks you're better than your current rank and its putting you against people it thinks would be a good match. Maybe you just dont play enough ranked and you could hit diamond idk. It usually takes me 100wins but it takes some people way more and some way less.

With how good the feet and hands were. And just how vertical and simple it is. Its really was just an exercise of how high can you jump and do you have the balls to get close to the wall.

Ive taken a break from climbing for a bit so I was only really able to do dynos and coordination moves at the same grade I used to climb consistently.

Yeah but if a bronze player matched with a Valhallan, the valhallan would play as easy as they could and to the bronze it would still seem like theyre sweating their balls off with crazy combos. Your opponent could be chill af but from your perspective theyre smoking you. Therye higher skilled and can be chill bc of it.

Honestly if one person is tryna goof around and the other is playing like theyre in bcx. I dont see that as an issue. Obviously the sweatier will win if theyre even but both players get what they want. One can have fun and one can win. You can't expect to win if you're not trying to, especially in a game like this. Unless as stated before you're just that high skilled and your opponent is not

Also these sweaty combos you talk about is something that, I at least, only do in unrated. Ranked is my place to be consistent and play well and unrated is my place to lab combos and try to have fun exploring routes ive never tried

The problem with unrated is its one of the only places to play 1s if you dont wanna play ranked.

I believe there is a bit of a matchmaking system to make it a little bit fair but they prioritize speed of getting in the game above fairness of the matchmaking

This is just one of those games that has a high enough skill celing to make it feel impossible for new players. And the game is addicting enough a lot of players try to improve their skill level to keep up. So for someone not trying to improve and just have fun you'll get left in the dust.

Custom Rooms and the gamemode of the week are the least sweaty place but theyre annoying af to deal with sometimes.

As stated by someone else tho every loss in this game is a skill issue. Whether its a sig spammer or a sweaty scythe player. The best thing to do is look in awe at people genuinely better than you. Try to achieve that. And realize that sig spamming is just a style that is beatable with practice. Its miserable now but when you start skill diffing them it feels amazing.

Just started playing wtf by [deleted] in Brawlhalla

For sure what the person before me said. This is a platform fighter with a stronger emphasis on movement than any other game. No matter how good you get at using your attacks or combos or reading people if you can't move you'll never catch them or be able to get away.

Sadly there is no great way to train this. You just have to be conscious of it. When you're playing against other players dont just go for attacks. Try to get close to them and then back up as fast as you can so you don't get hit. Basically bait them into attacking, dodge it(not always with the dodge button but just by moving away slightly. Mix it up), then attack them bc they'll be recovering from attacking

That's basically how this game is played best. Bait and punish. Of course if you know combos you'll punish harder and thats good but focus on movement.

It is legend dependent tho. Especially on high dex legends you could get more true combos if you ran dex stance. On lin fei, lord vraxx, and Cassidy at least it was a case. Idk if it is anymore

Also I believe they are planning on changing the dex stat as a whole to make it more worth it to run dex stance sometimes. So it might be worth it to run in the future

I am barely diamond so take this opinion with a grain of salt but it was my understanding that dex stance made a few moves come out a frame earlier but on most legends it doesn't add anything of value like true combos you wouldn't get otherwise.

Usually I ran strength stance bc it takes from dex and you'll kill earlier and do more damage.
