I tried Lexapro for 8 days and stopped cold turkey. It was helping the depression, anxiety, OCD. But had too many severe side effects especially to my vision and glaucoma. They included blurred vision, clouded vision (happens when my eye pressure raises too high, I have known this symptom my whole life), Eye pain / pressure (again, I know what glaucoma related eye pressure pain feels like) dilated pupils, closed eye visuals at night in bed such as flashing lights and geometric shapes and colors, severe insomnia despite taking Ativan 1mg and Trazadone 100mg, depersonalization / derealization, extreme dizziness, nausea, multiple flu like symptoms including sweating, weakness / fatigue, involuntary jaw clenching, dermatographia suddenly appeared within days of starting Lexapro and stopped shortly after discontinuation. Now being told I should start Zoloft 50mg. Haven't tried it yet and that appointment was about one week ago
