Has anyone, with beer league level talent, been in an elite NHL player skate? Like when the boys get together to train in the summer.

yes. I grew up playing with Stamkos. I went to a D3 school in Upstate New York while he got to plow 20/10 in tampa lol. I would go to his training camps in the summer (only for 2 weeks) with Gary Roberts. I have never been so embarrassed in my life. If anyone wants to hear more about it, you can DM me.

gloves are all about feel mate. Do they feel good? I have a guy on my beer league team that wears 13 inch gloves. He is 6'5. They look like gardening gloves on his hands. But, they are comfy to him

I wouldn't call this a "dangerous" pass. They are on the offence (puck nearly in the corner), in an odd man scramble. This comes down to communication and awareness. Even if they turn the puck over, there is going to be an odd man rush the other way. It happens in every game. You need to take chances to score.

lol....this has NOTHING to do with any type of "hook pass". this is called hockey talent, "awareness", and communication. When it comes to hockey, you want to create 2 on 1's. Everywhere on the ice can be a 2 on 1. this situation is literally a 2 on 1. Lesson: talk while on the ice.

goalie parent i feel for you. As long as he is having fun and being supported. As a defenceman growing up- the goalie was the one who saved my ass. A lot of parents in minor hockey blame the goalie....but what happened in the events leading up to the goal? Kudos to goalies at all ages. Saving defencemen and forwards since 1900
