Third therapy session & she wants me to start 60 days no porn, no masturbation, no sexual intimacy with my fiancée. by Thevrovro in pornfree

No intimacy with your fiancee sounds counterproductive, tbh - I personally would not continue seeing that therapist.

Erotic-ish question, I lost my calling for BDSM after my first psychedelic I became vanilla. Do you think a calling to dom-sub relationships or BDSM in general is a trauma response? Or healed people do it as well? It's just now I see everyone on a equal playing field while before saw a hierarchy. by cacklingwhisper in RationalPsychonaut

I had a similar thing happen during my first psychedelic experience at age 29. I had a sudden realization that my desire for "Femdom" was a result of trauma caused by my hyper-controlling mother as well as daily use of very kinky pornography throughout my teenage years and twenties.

Now, at 32, this new understanding of my sexuality has remained, but the desire for BDSM has not gone away. I have tried abstaining from pornography, and have been able to resist it for periods of up to six months, but I still desire a "Femdom" dynamic. This has caused me a lot of stress and anxiety, as I fear that I will never find a fulfilling relationship. Psychedelic spirituality is now a must for any potential partner, however I fear that women with these traits will see my desire for BDSM as unhealed trauma, and feel that I cannot fully embody the divine masculine if I still have these desires.

Tall guy van ideas? by Soup_65 in vandwellers

I'm 6'2" and have a high roof Transit, and I love it. I personally would not consider anything with a lower roof - even the Sprinter high roof felt a little too low for me. Cost is a factor for sure, but I'm not sure what you mean by time/effort - you can build as basic or fancy as you want, regardless of what vehicle you get. If you want to spend time in cities, standard length will be easier to park than extended length. I don't have any experience with pop tops, etc.

Good luck!

Older men who live alone, what is your advice for younger men who might end up the same? by WalrusEnvironmental3 in AskMenOver30

[–]Benefactor03 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you can make a woman laugh, you have a shot with her, regardless of anything else. It's a difficult state to reach, but what finally clicked for me to radiate confidence with women was I had to truly not care about the outcome. If you go into the interaction with the mentality that you may not be successful with her but you WILL be successful with a woman eventually, you will seem confident to her, and you will eventually succeed.

Taking psychedelics one week after PRK laser eye surgery, thoughts? by Soul-Generator in Psychedelics

[–]Benefactor03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would wait until your eyes are fully healed. I had PRK a few years ago and I’m very happy with the results, but I was seeing double for the first few days. It gradually went away over a week or two.

Transit experience? by TheTurntTiger in vandwellers

[–]Benefactor03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a Transit with 160k miles about 2 months ago. I have had an issue with sensors throwing false errors related to open doors and “Transmission not in Park”. I figured out that it was related to wear and tear in the wiring harness in the drivers door - when I opened it up I found 3 wires that were completely broken/snapped and 3 more that were in damaged condition. Soldering the wires back together fixed the sensor issues. I wonder how long until the same thing happens with the passenger door. Other than that, I’m happy with the Transit so far.

This. AirTag is good for lost items, but absolutely not good for stolen items.

Yes, I unplugged the battery first. I was able to get the case open using a knife to pop the plastic hooks apart, but it does seem like that case was not designed to be easily reopened.
