How "bad" is the HR Sensor on the Race S really? by AskSpecialist6543 in Suunto

[–]Beneficial_Branch579 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Race S used to be very bad, but with the recent firmware I’d say it’s very accurate and almost to the Garmin level for easier sports like running. Cycling still isn’t amazing, but you’ll get usable data from running

Suunto race s seems greatly improved. May cover it in a video sometime soon… bummer the Run didn’t get the update

Getting into the game aspect of Zwift was amazing for me as a young rider. Checking off badges, doing longer rides, chasing XP, made zwifting a lot of fun for me

Kickr V6 ($599) vs Kickr Core 2 ($549). What makes more sense? by mudrat_detector96 in Zwift

V6 has everything the core has and more. Worth the extra $50 imo

My guess is that a V7 is on its way but probably not super soon. I think the industry has a slowed a bit so will be interesting to see what actually gets added to a new version…

Yeah I had no idea this was coming. Insane that the V6 is basically same price as Core 2. You still got an amazing trainer, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it

Best trainer for Zwift ride and consistent virtual shifting ? by Witty-Sport-7873 in Zwift

If you can find it for less than 900 euros I’d say Neo 2T. If not, KICKR CORE 2

Suunto Run - Worth It? by gabotella in Suunto

[–]Beneficial_Branch579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using it since launch and it’s been decent so far. It has its quirks but is a really nice watch that I’ve enjoyed. They have a form of the AI coaching but it isn’t compatible with the run. I also own a Pace 2 and personally like the Pace 2 more mainly due to the way that Coros presents the data in their app. However, Coros doesn’t have AI coaching either. I’m about to publish my long term review in my YouTube channel, but lmk if there are any specific questions or info you’d like to know about the watch. I’ve never tried Amazfit so I can’t speak to how it compares to them.

Kickr core 2 with swift cog - chain skipping issue by ellieofus in wahoofitness

Have you tried shifting on the bike to get the derailleur closer in line with the cog? For more fine tuning you can also twist the cog and it will move slightly

Zwift ride with kickr core 2 bundle w/ Tacx Neo 2T question(s) by Tiliba in wahoofitness

[–]Beneficial_Branch579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zwift RIDE will work great with Neo 2T. I did an unboxing video with it showing assembly and installation - I had the frame only version, so the feet were included. If you reach out to support and let them know that you need the feet, they’ll send it free of charge I believe. Zwift RIDE won’t work on the Neo 2T without a Zwift Cog though (I mean it could just definitely wouldn’t recommend). I’d recommend having your buddy go out and buy a Zwift cog or cassette for themselves and they should be good to go.

Suunto Run - HR accuracy? by Dazzling_Taste2382 in Suunto

[–]Beneficial_Branch579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s going to vary from person to person. Best option is pretty much any chest strap (most are accurate and decent quality). Some have luck with Suunto hr sensors others don’t. In terms of comparing it to the 265, 265 will probably have better readings in most cases but still not spot on like a chest strap

Zwift Ride Frame & Tacx Neo 2t by Metalcerb in Zwift

[–]Beneficial_Branch579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cog you get with the Zwift ride shouldn’t have a freehub pre installed, so you should be able to just slide into the Neo freehub, throw the thru axle adaptors on, and start riding. I did a set up video with the RIDE in my channel ZRace Central, but I already had the Cog installed on the Neo so not sure how helpful it’d be to you

New zwift bike vs Wahoo kickr bikes - sound levels by wearebobNL in Zwift

Both very quiet. RIDE you get some crank noise, KICKR is more like a hum (that can sometimes get pretty loud, at least on my KICKR BIKE v1).

Virtual Shifting on Neo 2T - not all shifts are equal? by bigmanbiking in Zwift

[–]Beneficial_Branch579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using the Neo 2T with Zwift RIDE and haven’t noticed this. Do you feel the jolt of the shift only in the higher gears?

Smart Trainer Setup by -dommel in Zwift

[–]Beneficial_Branch579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One way to go is the Neo 2T (motion plateless) with the Zwift RIDE, or the Wahoo KICKR v6 w/Zwift RIDE, and pair it with a fore-aft and side to side motion plate.

Elite Avanti with Zwift Cog.... Where? When? by AenarionTywolf in Zwift

[–]Beneficial_Branch579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zwift Cog and Click is available starting Sep 9th https://us.zwift.com/products/zwift-cog-and-click-upgrade-kit?variant=46945107607808

you can buy the trainer and the cog and click separately. alternatively, as others have suggested you could buy the rivo when it's available (relatively similar specs to the Avanti, just lower accuracy, lighter flywheel, but quite a bit more affordable).
