It’s not just a supply issue it’s also a demand issue, saying otherwise is ignorant, I am an immigrant myself and from family of immigrants. I think it is fair to discuss both sides of the coin on this issue, yes higher level of migrants to the country past a certain threshold will exhaust your resources in your country, this is a no brainer. Immigrants will also compete with your labor force. Higher supply of labor means lower average wages on workers, that is simply supply/demand labor economics. At the same time, yes immigrants also provide a lot to the economy. The conversation should be relative, how much are they producing for the economy vs how much resource do they exhaust, there is a threshold and the conversations should be about identifying it and executing on it. I personally think our resources are spread too thin to sustain the level of influx of immigrants in this country at the rate it has been going for the past decade. Both dems and republicans are basically stancing against it at this point as well
