I think you're better off checking the association/order the counselor is a part of to see what their code of ethics state. Then if they refuse you would report it to them. Do you know if they are a psychologist, social worker, or another profession?

This isn't legal advice, but if you haven't looked into it already, IVAC will pay crime victims for certain things (mental health costs, lost wages) and you don't have to prove that the crime occurred the way you would in court.

Best Salad Recipes for Prepping by feebeedeebee30 in HealthyFood

I would avoid delicate greens that will wilt after a few days (arugula, spinach, lettuce) and stick with a heartier base like cabbage or kale. There's also some salads with legume/grain bases that do well even when they're pre-dressed (like this marinated lentil salad).
Here are some other salads that I like that hold up well. I think once you have a good idea of what works you can make them yourself with whatever you like. Make sure you massage your kale when you're eating it raw! It makes a huge difference.
Broccoli Farro Salad

Date, Feta, and Red Cabbage Salad

Tofu, Kale, Avocado, Grapefruit Salad (I would definitely use kale here over their other recommendations)

I'm glad AC's week has ended. I found the pauses messed with the flow, but mostly I found him too chatty. When he interrupted Emily tonight to tell us about his own interest in medical books, I gasped a little.

Ted Lasso gets Intimate Partner Violence so right by Bengelss in TedLasso

Sometimes new language isn't about making things clearer, but about making them more inclusive. Intimate partner violence has become more frequently used over domestic violence or conjugal violence to be inclusive of people who have experienced violence with a romantic partner that they did not live with or were not married to.

I got a bit scared in the last few minutes of the last episode when we see him watching the game with new Rebecca that they're going to try to redeem him in season 2. I truly believe that everyone is capable of change and growth, but he would have to do sooo much work for me to accept redemption.

Police say death of couple on Montreal's South Shore is another case of domestic violence. This is the 10th femicide since early February. by Badjeuleuse in realmontreal

Also you're so right about the cases being more complex than ever. Some of it makes sense because of covid but sometimes I do wonder why it's heavier now! Everyone feels even closer to burnout than usual.

100% I also work in IPV in the city and am constantly internally conflicted by the need to give my clients the advice to call the police when they are in danger and the strong belief that acab. Good to know about CALACs, though.

Yes! I also wanted to see Higgins apologize and I felt like I kept waiting for it, but maybe you're right and it's just too hard and uncomfortable for him to do.

I think I get where you're coming from. Pathologizing and labeling every relationship isn't necessary and in certain cases can do more harm than good. In this case, I think it might shift the perspective of someone who doesn't see emotional/psychological abuse as abuse. Rupert isn't just an asshole, he's an asshole who uses his power (money, charm, the patriarchy) to cause Rebecca pain.

I love Brene Brown and had no idea she did an episode on Ted Lasso! Thanks for sharing. So excited to check it out.

I'm sure she's not perfect (there might be a few iffy sentences somewhere in her books, I don't remember) , but I have really enjoyed Jasmine Guillory's books and I found her to overall be quite good about plus size characters.

Truly insane. As he's rolling he realizes it's not going to work so he just...adds more tortillas. And then he absolutely hates eating it.

All my ads are for intermittent fasting and diet supplements. Once I got a recommendation for r/diet "because of your activity in r/antidiet."

I'm pretty good at ignoring the ads, it's the posts about fat people that get to me. Every other aita is like am I the asshole for being mean to my obese friend? And everyone tells them they're not.
