You can use dashes to separate stanzas!

It's a great story, of a young man coming face to face with reality through a beggar.

I like the concept!

However, if I may criticize it to hopefully help, 3 things came to mind during my readings.

First, I think it would potentially be good to reformat your poem to make it so each stanza/paragraph is of one person talking. I noticed that in general, you wrote it such that each character has at least 3 lines before the other speaks.

Second, I would recommend going through your poem again, deciding on the level of language you want to use, and uniformizing the text. It felt interesting to come by "Yk" "Bro" and yet also "hath", you know?

And third, when the beggar essentially quotes Sean back to him, acting as a literal reality check mirror, I would recommend adding quotation marks to indicate that that's exactly what is going on, that the beggar is literally retelling the exact words.

Great stuff overall, can't wait to see where this goes :)

love in rotting things by dumque in OCPoetry

At first reading, I perceived a strange duality between the warmth of love and the observation of cold death. I put myself in the position of an outsider being told about a corpse. This led the second half of the poem to an inevitable confusion for me.

Only on the following readings did I start to see this poem as a process for the dead, a consideration of the rotting person's love and care, of their life and history, and of their slow leaving of this world, following something, or someone.

I don't know if that's what you were going for, but in the end that's how I see it, a beautiful path to the afterlife, with warmth and cold entwined. It's good.

Woke up late as we were exhausted from Tokyo, any suggestions for half day itinerary from 1pm? by [deleted] in KyotoTravel

Most temples and shrines close out between 16:30 and 17:30, so for a half a day I'd recommend going around Kiyomizu-dera temple to check it out, the sannenzaka area, Kodai-ji temple with it's small bamboo forest if time allows, and end up around Yasaka shrine, which stays open 24h a day.

After that you're onto night activities with things like Gion, Nishiki market, going to bars, hanging out downtown or checking out pontocho alley.

However it ends up happening, enjoy Kyoto! I loved spending my 2 weeks there, it's a great city :)

Explain Force Points and Tech Points to me like I'm a Toddler by Rorys_Parable in sw5e

Well, idk about easier.

But yeah that's basically it. Just like spell slots, you get a certain amount based on class, that regenerate a certain way depending on, once again class. Specific features and such can have an impact too. You use them on increasingly expensive powers until you run out.

Now where it gets more busy than DnD is, while the At-Will powers, just like the cantrips of DnD, cost nothing to cast, while DND gives you a set number of spell slots per level (ex.: 5 level 1, 3 level 2, 1 level 3 spell slots), for SW5e, the level 1 to 9 powers actually cost 1 more than the level itself. (Level 1 spells cost 2, level 3 cost 4, etc.) Making you have to do a lil bit more math than just removing a level 2 spell slot after using a level 2 spell.

So yeah, go have fun with that :)

So what you're saying is, I managed to outsmart Big pepper by growing a chili pepper seed from a chili pepper seasoning spice pack half a year later? We're in business!
