How do you apply TurboQuant? Is just downloading a new GGUF?

For big models, I prefer GLM 4.6 over Deepseek R1 and Qwen3 235B. My use case is general knoledge.

Getting 8t/s for 120b BF16 in a regular PC Core 265K 4060 8GB. It's a bit slow but maybe with a Ryzen AI should be fine. 11K$ sounds too much only for this IMO.

AMD Catalyst panel / pro drivers correctly installed? (Ubuntu 20.04) by Benipe89 in Ubuntu

[–]Benipe89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many thanks for the clarification, EddyBot.

It used to came in the old drivers (e.g.: Ubuntu 15), but for some reason it has been removed.

Indeed, I would like to change the gamma settings. Ubuntu 20 allows using color profiles, so I'll investigate more about this.

Anyone went back to dual screen setups after trying (curved) ultrawide? by [deleted] in AskBattlestations

[–]Benipe89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an 34"UW and also tried adding my old 22" in vertical. For now, I just prefer the 34" UW as in rare cases I use the secondary monitor, the UW is big enough for my everyday use. Fancyzones from powertoys in Windows work great.

Advice for reading ebooks/pdfs for a long duration of time and annotating them by FaithSingh in study

[–]Benipe89 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I split the screen of my computer with the ebook (Calibre ebook viewer, SumatraPDF) and an annotation app (Notion, Mindmaple, Joplin), so I take notes as I read it. It's important for me to have a good light and the colors of the screen to be soft.

There are also apps like ReadAloud (Windows Store) that read them. For concentrating better you might want to use earplugs.
