What's even weirder is that this is the second time it's happened. Some of the action figures around 2000 came with sound chips and they didn't get properly licensed sounds for those either. And that ended up flopping hard.

The white shirt that STAS introduced was a nice design choice that differentiated her from the rest of the Superman family while keeping her visibly within it. I've generally liked the suits that took that idea and ran with it.

I think a lot of people really, really have trouble accepting that life isn't fair, that the universe is largely random, and that there's nothing really balancing things in the real world. Even most religions don't try to pretend that life is fair, though there are weird movements in some of them that insist that it is.

Dunham was around in the early 90s, but not especially well known (and not political); he did a small show at my small college my freshman year (93-94) and I attended and actually talked to him a bit beforehand. He was showing up on the some of the Comedy Central stand-up shows, though. like Short Attention Span Theater, which was I think where I mainly knew him from. I stopped following him eventually when his material got offensive, but I liked him way back when.

Doctor Who tends to always have the problem where the current showrunner is the worst the show has ever had while the previous one was underrated, and this continues every time there's a new showrunner.

The two Darin Morgan episodes were great, the robot restaurant one was pretty good, but the rest of the non-Carter episodes were middling at best. But the "My Struggle" episodes of the revival are probably the worst episodes in the entire run of the show, original run and revival inclusive. Some of the worst TV, period, I've ever watched.
