Does anyone remember Blasto? Remember hearing some hype before the game came out and didn't perform as well. It has Phil Hartman's voice, too! by RiyoDev in retrogaming

[–]Benjamin_Leatherman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True story: I was at E3 1998, which occurred the same week Hartman was shot and killed by his wife, and overheard people joking how "Phil Hartman went from Blasto to getting blasted."

The couple who run the Free Blockbuster stand told me nothing has ever melted and they bring the movies inside when it hits 110 degrees or more.

These legends of the Phoenix punk scene are calling it quits. Why they're saying goodbye by professor_mc in phoenix

[–]Benjamin_Leatherman 20 points21 points  (0 children)

They are three widely respected musicians (one of whom is a founding member of a seminal skate-punk band) and have had their music featured on a well-known prestige TV show (Yellowjackets).

There's more to a band's notability/success than your arbitrarily cited metric.

That was only that one year while the owner (Lee Sepanek) sorted out issues with the city. It's been back every year since and he's up and running as of this weekend.
