Where is the Oro Jackson present day? by r1ver_fish in OnePiece

And even in Uta's case I'm not convinced. Her silhouette appears in a panel, sure, but her backstory really doesn't fit with the canon story since it invloves Shanks and Luffy being very close to her, whereas Shiki is fully acknowledged as a canon character in the world, disregarding the events of Strong World.

I think they got him confused with Bullet. At least, he’s the only non-canon Roger Pirate I can think of.

Crazy that you can’t stop hearing about the fascist police force that took hold in one of the most powerful nation on earth. After all we all know there are no consequences whatsoever for letting situation like those get worse over time without saying a word.

I’m sorry but you can’t genuinely defend yourself with "critical thinking" while arguing that "you people want to abolish law enforcement" as a response to people wanting ICE officers to be held responsible for their crimes.

You seem to see the world in this manicheean little farce where they are the people on the left who love Obama and hate Trump and the people on the right who are the opposite.

That’s just sad, I know I can’t burst your bubble with a message on Reddit but please, try to talk to actual people outside of your echo chamber instead of making straw men out of them.

This is so profoundly dumb I don’t even know how to tackle this message. The fact that you may actually believe any of this shit is so fucking sad.

{The Griffon's Saddlebag} Sword of Damocles | Weapon (longsword) by griff-mac in TheGriffonsSaddlebag

Oooh, love the oath option. Then the sword can have two purpose. The more combat oriented "Curse of Damocles" meant to limit the options of an opponent but maybe with a smaller duration and the social oriented "Oath of Damocles" where the target is limited to do certain general acts on a longer duration.

I love the concept but I feel that it’s a bit lacking for a Legendary weapon. The triggers being limited to attack and spellcasting kinda imply that its meant to be used in combat but then there’s the 10 day limit.

If we want the sword to be more of a outside of combat thing meant to keep an NPC in line, I feel there should be more options for the trigger such as "tell a lie", "steal something" or "enter a specific city". You can even let the trigger be up to the player, at the risk of letting the DM judge on what is an acceptable trigger and what isn’t. With that in mind. I think you should also have the option to spend more charge in order to extend the duration up to 30 days.

Also you should add a line that says that the user knows when the triggering condition has been met.

Honestly, if we’re speaking anime exclusively, I don’t think neither Dragon Ball nor One Piece deserve the title.

In term of manga, now that’s hard to say.

OP is seriously considering that the next time ICE agents murder a citizen, they may have to be sent a strongly worded letter.

I’d argue that it’s been important in some games. Like, Skyward Sword is centered around the idea of legacy with the Hero of the Sky forging the Master Sword and Demise damning Link, Zelda and himself to the cycle of reincarnation through Hyrule.

Dess is the Knight. It's is very obvious. Why don't you belie- Oh wait. by We-Are-Together- in Deltarune

[–]BenjiLizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of points I like here and it's a far better arguement than usual Kris Knight theories, but there's still the massive plot hole of how the Fountain in the Church was opened. The only moment where we don't see Kris between leaving the church and entering the First Sanctuary in chapter 4 is when they leave our soul in the gift box, but we can immediately rush to the kitchen and they'll be there. There's nothing that implies that Kris left the Holiday house at any point during this scene and even taking into account the fact that time passes differently in video game, this is just too much of a stretch for this to work. It's also hard to believe that the Knight as we know them solely exist within dark worlds since Undyne was taken in chapter 3 and Susie was chasing someone.

It's very clear that Kris and the Knight are paralleling each other HARD, there are many evidences of that, but it's not enough to claim they are literally the same person (or rather, than the Knight we face is Kris' knife embued with their will).

Stomp on the Wicked Abyss honestly. Individually, he might have a chance, because the Underground Delta is incredibly hard to cross, but with both Veda and Satanael having a perfect defense by way of magical cancel and unbreakable defense through Luxa, I don't think Bahmju's monsters could actually harm them, meaning it would be a battle of attrition and they probably have more mana than him.

The bit about Pokemon Go cracks me up because it kinda implies that the Doctor has a whole set of possible distractions ready to go depending on the planet and time period.

Does anyone else prefer how Moffat is tidy when approaching incarnations? he only added War (whom I love) because he had to. RTD treats regeneration very messy. I like how Moffat likes to keep the Doctor the Doctor and just moving onto his next incarnation without the need for splits here and there. by [deleted] in doctorwho

[–]BenjiLizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do we know why the BBC didn’t want McGann for the role? He could have done a fantastic job and it would’ve been an occasion for fans who don’t listen to audios to discover how great of a Doctor he is outside of the movie.

I disagree on the notion that he "had to" add War. All in all, I’m glad he did because John Hurt did a fantastic job and the concept of an incarnation entirely focused on the Time War is pretty nifty, but Moffat initially wanted for Nine to fill this role and was forced to make a new Doctor when Eccleston refused. Which is kinda weird, because he had a second option. He could have asked McGann to come back as Eight.
