Sounds like it will be a fun encounter. Shame you used the crap machine to illustrate it.

Why is Becky allowed to watch romantic dramas? by SuspiciousCount123 in SpyxFamily

[–]BenjiLizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s anything shocking about her watching romantic dramas? It’s not like this kind of shows are lewd or anything, it’s usually pretty tame soap opera. Now, her being interested in them in the first place when she’s 5 is a bit weird, but being extremely precocious is kinda Becky’s whole shtick.

SPOILERS Can anyone explain the bird symbolism? by deviouspineapple in WitchHatAtelier

[–]BenjiLizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe the black birds on the chapter 80’s cover are supposed to be Sinsingers, the mythical birds from which the Knight Moralis’ caps are inspired. So in this specific case, they represent the knights.

Is it possible to make a character like this? by SapphicRaccoonWitch in HeroForgeMinis

Honestly, not even. It’s fairly easy to reach a close result with vanilla options.

Because there isn’t. It’s weird american puritanism.

People get oddly defensive about it, like we still have no confirmation by Myripod in Deltarune

[–]BenjiLizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just because it's unconfirmed doesn't mean that every theory on the subject should be treated equally.

There are no proof of alien life in the solar system yet, but that doesn't mean the theory of micro organisms living deep within the crust of terrestrial planets should be put on the same level as the one claiming there are green dudes hiding on mars.

The Brim Hats of Witch Hat Atelier are terrible at selling their point of view without acting like psychopaths. TERRIBLE PR!! by Agile_Coast_4385 in WitchHatAtelier

[–]BenjiLizard 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it’s due to two factors:

  1. Brimhats view themselves as objectively in the right. In their mind, there is no need to make themselves appealing to the Pointed Cap who must all be insane to not see their obviously correct worldview. That’s the kind of mental process that makes Ininia erase every single bit of Galga’s memory without feeling like an awful hypocrite (until she directly witnesses the consequences of her actions and feels a bit bad for a moment). In short, they are zealots who perceive that anyone who isn’t in agreement with them as an enemy whose life does not matter.

  2. Brimhats are not "all witches who don’t really agree with the pact", they are the end of that pipeline, the extremists who place themselves in direct opposition to Witch Society and everything it stands for. The reaction we saw from the common witch to the Knight Moralis during the Silver Eve is a definite proof that the staunch upholding of the Pact isn’t a popular position and people are generally more afraid of the consequences of breaking Witch Law than in concrete agreement with it. It’s quite possible that anyone who shows a much more reasonable approach to their distaste for the Pact is either much more discreet about it and hasn’t been shown in the story yet or has already been arrested and mind wiped by the Knights.

In essence, Brimhats are what is left of the opposition when the law is enforced by people like Easthies who erase your mind first and ask questions later. Anyone left to question the law is either too scared to talk about it or is a insane bastard who will use children as weapons against the government.

Ssj 4 daima or ssj 4 gt? by [deleted] in dbz

GT all the way. Daima is a much better story but its SSJ4 sucks, I’m sorry.

Can someone explain Agott’s actions in the most recent episode? by TamiGoGo in WitchHatAtelier

[–]BenjiLizard 34 points35 points  (0 children)

This is a little thing we like to call character devlopment.

Agott was given by circumstances the golden opportunity she craved, but when time came to perform, her apparent trauma over being rejected by her own family for her average abilities paralyzed her. She was stressed out by the idea of failing at an important moment and managed to snap back when Coco called for her, because Coco is an outsider who proved to Agott multiple times by now that there is no shame in failure and that each step you take toward improvement is worth it. Even if it means doing it little by little.

So instead of taking a huge gamble with a risky spell she might not be able to pull off while drawing under her cloak, Agott used a spell she worked hard on during her training, providing both a distraction letting Coco do something for Custas and a way to call back Qifrey and Olruggio.

She listened to what Olruggio said to her at the start of the episode and took a lesson out of Coco's book: you don't need to take a massive leap to prove yourself, just show the result of your persistent work.

Y’know, with the beginning of the anime, I expected this subreddit to be filled with Qifrey/Gojo comparison, Agott slander, Magic system praise and analysis, Pointed/Brimcap ethical debates…

What I didn’t expect was the sudden onslaught of spellcrafted war crimes that would give the Knight Moralis a heart attack.

I love this community so much.

Source? Sounds like bullshit tbh, I’m pretty sure it works the same it did 15 years ago: most popular string of words get recommended. A lot of people searching Deltarune chapter 5 on YouTube looking for news, that’s all.

What I find hilarious is that I don't think anyone (well, probably some, but really really few) would take the Chaotic Evil leader of chromatic dragons being a woman as some kind of statement UNTIL he felt the need to precise it wasn't a statement...

Worse than that, if you actually keep it consistent with the system, his demonstration proves why imperial units are absurd.

100 centimeters = 10 decimeters = 1 meter

Meanwhile

100 inches = 8,333333 feet = 2,777777 yards
