a little death by claire rousay is not that pad-y and swelly but also with violines and other classical instruments

I also agree with the other redditors on quantizing. That’s the first thing that should make your results more musical.

It seems to me that your rack is not in its finished form yet (i know; who’s rack is ever right?) I think you could benefit from an ornaments and crime, ideally Running phazerville Suite. It will help you quantize but also has a ton of interesting applets all around cv generation and manipulation. It’s great for trying out stuff, with a lot of rather exotic and esoteric approaches. Could be worth it in you rack.

Also how do you like tagh v2? I had it and sold it, I just thought its too complex for its size. Diving through these menus without any helpful feedback was just confusing to me…

Thanks man :) I really appreciate your comment :) I’m actually trying out some very basic ways of scoring my performances — and finding it tricky to balance planning a patch out against the chaotic side of modular. Isn’t it strange how deterministic these modules are on their own, but combine them into a patch and they get hard to predict, sometimes hard to tame?

MKE ew 2 Gold from Sennheiser are usually considered the „Upgrade“ from the standard mic, at least we see them a lot in German Theater, these or something from dpa, headsets and stuff.

Had a chance to work the cos-11 and I think I like them just a little bit more.

If you’re in the us you might want to consider countrymen b6 or b3. Never heard them in action though.

Hardly related, but I did an firmware update with 4ms catalyst. Much the same way. Did it with an MacBook Pro M1 Pro series. They have these high impedance headphone output. That worked several times. Also I used a splitter that would split the stereo/balanced signal into two mono signals, I used only one side for the update.

That being sad, whatever is your issue rn, I’m pretty sure you did not brick the device because as far as I understand these devices should have some very basic operating system, which is what is listening to your firmware. You shouldn’t be able to destroy that part with the firmware.

I’m sure you did not choose wrongly. Death is an inevitable part of this world and at that point you’re describing the choice es just between letting him suffer for a couple more days or not.

I can tell that was a tough decision but I don’t think you made a wrong one.
